Super 8 by Wyndham Salinas

My staying in wyndham is good it’s kinda old the unit but its okey for sleeping.

This place was clean and comfortable, and they serve a little cottontail breakfast in the morning nothing major, but it was decent great hotel book on the fly

Disappointed The breakfast was terrible as the tables were disgusting. Nobody clear or clean them off. The lady at the front desk was so absorbed into her phone that did not pay attention to anything or greet anyone. We like the location as it was near by everything we needed.

We needed a short place to stay to meet with family at the last minute and we saw that the Super 8 had one of the higher reviews off of ******* and the price was right. Some of the hallways had flys swarming around not sure if that was because of visitors not picking up after themselves or staff not cleaning the areas thoroughly enough. The unit we stayed in had a sewage smell/old cigarette smell that seemed to come up the bathroom drain. My husband used a cup to cover the bathroom sink drain hole to see if it helped mask the odor and it did. There were scratches on the bathroom mirror. The tv remote control was cracked and could not get the station. We liked the firmness of the bed, the fridge and microwave in the room.

My recent one-night stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing and unsettling for several reasons. First, our reservation was changed without any notice—from rooms with queen beds to rooms with double beds. Even worse, our two rooms were placed on opposite ends of the property, forcing my family to split up, which felt incredibly unsafe and poorly planned. The room my sisters were given had a strong, unpleasant odor that made it very uncomfortable. Later that night, just after midnight, a man dressed in all black, wearing a mask, and riding a bike came to their door and began pounding on it aggressively. It was an absolutely terrifying experience for them. I immediately called the front desk to report the incident. The young woman I spoke with said she would do a walk-through of the property and inform the manager, but that didn’t bring any real sense of security. After that, none of us could relax or sleep comfortably for the rest of the night. To make matters worse, the rooms were not soundproof. We were kept awake by constant noise from the second floor and outside throughout the night. On top of everything, the surroundings of the hotel felt sketchy and unsafe. There’s a homeless encampment just on the other side of the fence by the parking lot. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Wasn’t my best experience. I booked a double bed room and noticed immediately upon entering that there was a large clump of hair on one of the beds. Later on while getting food I noticed quite a bit of police activity, and after going to a food truck less then 200 yards from the hotel, there was a street full of sex workers attempting to flag and stop all the traffic going through. After coming back from the taco truck I was relaxing in my bed when I noticed a white stain on the bed cover. Considering the surrounding area I was immediately disgusted and didn’t even want to sleep in the bed anymore. After moving the cover I slept and woke up with multiple bug bites on my torso elbow and arm and even my back and stomach. Overall will most likely never stay at this place again. I didn’t have enough time to bring these concerns and issues up with management but it was apparent that there was a lack of management as well as employees, with only one at the desk and even then this employee was more concerned about her tv show then the customers. This was not worth the 500+ dollar stay for three nights.
