An outstanding boutique diving resort in the Moluku islands. The best and most supportive dive crew, friendly ground staff, and beautiful cabins on the shore. The diving was excellent, with many rare fish - plus a fantastic house reef with sharks and turtles to the night-time "walking shark" - the bamboo shark. Definitely one to see!

Just got back from staying at this wonderful secluded resort.We stayed on the island for 14 nights and from the minute we arrived we were so well looked after.All the staff were so friendly and approachable and nothing was to much trouble.I came for the diving and wasn’t disappointed it was superb.The dive guides on the boat were brilliant the critters they found on the corals were amazing.I was lucky enough to have a guide to myself so it was really good( thanks Peepo you were brilliant).Every day we had good fun on the boat it was a pleasure to be onboard.The food was very good with quite a varied menu so there was always something for us to eat.A nice touch was after dinner the dive guides and the owner came and sat with us and we would discuss the days diving and they would ask everybody what they wanted to do the following day. So thankyou Roberto and Robert we had a fantastic time and you should be very proud of your staff as they are a credit to you. Many Thanks Phil and Sue

In a wonderfully diverse nature and great seclusion lies this very comfortable resort. We were there in August away from the high season almost alone and have enjoyed the peace very much. The bungalows are spacious and the terraces pleasantly shaded and located directly on the sea. All staff members are extremely helpful and friendly. The dive guides Jamie and Jija made the amazing underwater world accessible to us with great expertise and a lot of commitment (even though we as beginners were not the optimal cast for a diving area with quite complicated currents). From seahorses to fin whales and an overwhelming variety of very healthy corals, we saw and marveled at a lot.

We snorkeled pristine fringing reefs, including the outstanding house reef, during our eight night stay. The management of the resort and dive operation were professional and accommodating. The kitchen generated superb cuisine, particularly the Indonesian dishes, including Rendang Sapi, Terong Balado and Kare Cumi-Cumi. We suffered canceled flights in a subsequent part of our itinerary and Lisa/Roberto ably assisted in resolving those issues. This visit was a repeat from 2018 and confirmed our view that Sali Bay and the Bacan Islands are well worth the travel time. We'll be back.

A unique place in the Molucca Sea. You fly from Manado to Labuha, half an hour by boat organized by the resort and you arrive in this paradise. The house reef is amazing, the lodge an the hospitality of Lisa and Roberto is great. We are a couple of freedivers and we relied on the advice of the dive masters, that made us discover the depths of this unspoiled area of Indonesia. If you want to visit one of the most unspoiled places in the world with a high level of service both for hospitality and for the diving center, Sali Bay resort is the right place.

We spent 10 days at Sali Bay soon after Indonesia reopened after covid. We felt very well looked after. Jemmy, our guide, found all kinds of creatures for the camera and also helped me feel comfortable when there was stronger current. The reefs very healthy and full of life. The resort is beautiful, food is great. Definitely worth the long journey.

We spent almost two weeks at the Sali Bay Resort on the beautiful tropical island of Pulau Sali Kecil in the North Moluccas. We thoroughly enjoyed the time. Regarding the resort: The ambience is informal, the staff is extremely friendly and attentive, the bungalows are spacious, clean and in top condition, the complex is the most spacious in the area and very well maintained. The food is very fine (you can always choose from 2 options for lunch and dinner); a mix of Indonesian and Italian cuisine. We would like to give a special mention to Lisa, the manager. She is an excellent hostess who takes care of the well-being of the guests from morning to night. For Diving: Well organised, 'full service', everything is done by the crew, good big dive boats. There are over 70 pristine dive sites, all within a 30 minute boat ride from the resort. Top underwater world, extremely rich in corals and small animals, but also an unbelievable abundance of fish. It also has a few whales (Bryde's whale) in the area. A great resort!

Our diving holidays last month have been fantastic! And not just because of the beautiful underwater world, but also because of all the lovely people who work at the resort. We were very impressed by the informal atmosphere and everyone was very friendly. The food was very tasty! You could choose between Asian or European dishes! For the diving trips we could enjoy the full service! The material was always completely provided and at the end everything was washed clean again for us. We can only warmly recommend the Salibay resort! Many thanks again to Lisa and the whole team!
