"I had a great stay at Holiday Inn Express Manchester – Salford Quays. The hotel was clean, modern, and comfortable, with all the essentials for a relaxing stay. The staff were friendly and efficient, and check-in was quick and smooth. One of the highlights was the location – it offered easy access to football games at Old Trafford, which was just a short walk away, as well as convenient public transport connections to the city centre and beyond. A solid and stress-free choice for anyone visiting Manchester, especially for football fans. I’d happily stay here again."

"There was an issue with this booking, and the same was made by mistake on the evening of the 12th of August and was made for the 12th of August instead of the 13th. The hotel was not full, and when I contacted Trip.com and the hotel reception, I was made to make a new booking and no refund was offered for the room. The people and businesses in the United Kingdom have been known to be very empathetic and humane, unlike the US and do understand other human beings. This was not the case here, and I was shown the refund policy by the hotel and the website that is trip.com. Even from trip I did expect more as I booked for the 13th too from their website. Thus, not a great experience. Very disappointed with Trip.com not even refund the taxes. The gym at the hotel is very small. Near the water is good."

"We arrived at night. The driver followed the navigation and went around twice but couldn't find the entrance to the building. Later, he asked people and found out that the entrance to the building could not be parked either. He could only park about 100 meters away from the building. He pushed 4 large suitcases and 3 small suitcases across the cobblestone road to the entrance of the building, and had to carry the heavy suitcases up several steps. There was no waiter to help with the luggage. There was only one waiter at the front desk to check in. The room was large and the kitchen was clean, but there was no bottled water, not even a hair dryer and a mouthwash cup, no toothpaste or toothbrush, but disposable slippers. Breakfast is in another building and needs to be booked in advance, otherwise you will have to wait for a long time. Breakfast is not a buffet, but you have to sit down and order. The waiter was indifferent, probably because he was too busy. Downstairs was very lively at night, with several restaurants and people coming and going. If you only stay for one night, it is not recommended, it is too much trouble. Young people or family travel should like it here. (Picture shows the steps and breakfast at the entrance)"

"## 1. Check-in Experience The reception staff were very friendly. My flight arrived early in the morning, so I called the hotel to inquire about an early check-in, and they confirmed it was possible, which I greatly appreciated. Check-in and check-out processes were efficient and convenient. However, the identity verification seemed a bit lax, as I was allowed to check in without being asked for any identification. The staff were always willing to assist. ## 2. Room Quality Room cleanliness was above average. The space around the bed was limited, but the bathroom was quite large. The overall room layout felt a bit peculiar, and the toilet's placement was also somewhat odd. The bed was too soft for my liking. Noise was to be expected, given its location next to a main road, but it wasn't overly severe. There was no air conditioning, but given Manchester's cool weather, it was acceptable. The Wi-Fi was very stable. I didn't test the TV. ## 3. Location & Transportation I personally found the hotel's location quite convenient, though if you're not taking a specific bus route, it requires at least a ten-minute walk. There are restaurants nearby, but no attractions. Public transport options include buses and bike rentals, but there's no metro. The hotel was easy to find, and parking was available. ## 4. Facilities & Services I didn't notice any gym, swimming pool, or restaurant, so I'm unable to comment on these facilities. I'm not aware of any additional thoughtful services (such as complimentary breakfast or airport transfers). I'm unsure about the timeliness or efficiency of the housekeeping service, as I stayed for only two days and this service was not arranged. ## 5. Value for Money The room rate was acceptable, but I haven't compared it with other hotels in the same area, so I'm not entirely sure if it's truly competitive. Compared to other hotels of a similar standard, it's likely recommendable, but it might be worth comparing with other options before making a final decision. No additional charges, which was a big plus. The only extra fee was a £2 city tax, which was consistent with the information provided on the booking website."

"Excellent stay and much improved with the refurb. Staff were excellent too, definitely up to the standard we've come.to expect from Marriot Hotels. Room was nice and comfortable, great pool , sauna, gym and the location is quiet. Great coffee too, worth a mention. Will definitely stay again"

"The location is very good. There are McDonald's and tesco around to solve three meals a day, and the surrounding environment is quite good; slightly smaller than domestic hotel rooms; no air conditioning but equipped with a small fan; There is a desk but the area is small and there are fans and coffee tea bags and cups piled up, so there is basically no office space. If it is a domestic hotel, it can give 3 stars or even less, but compared with other British and Japanese hotels I have been to, it can get close to 4 stars."
