The first room we were assigned was located right next to reception, which was very noisy. However, after discussing with the manager, we were able to move to a new room on the second floor.
The hotel is well located, close to the central square.
The staff is friendly.

This spot was just steps from the main square and our room was spacious with a decent bathroom and hot water and a wonderful view from our window and terrace. We arrived on a Saturday night and paid 60,000 instead of the regular rate of 80000. BUT the wifi didnt work once during our 4 nights stay and the pillows and mattress had plastic covers making for a noisy/sweaty sleep. This was a shame as the place was immaculately clean and in a great location.

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights after reading significant numbers of negative comments about the Plantation House - the only hostel which seems to feature on most of the websites, and does admittedly have its own very good website. We found Hostal Posada del Angel mentioned on one website and phoned to make a reservation, which was completely hassle-free. The hostel is located about 20 steps away from the town's central square, where all the restaurants etc. are located. The owner/manager was helpful and kind, and made us feel at home. There's free coffee and drinking water whenever you want it, and use of the kitchen. There's a small living room area with a fireplace and sofas and tables to sit at, and maybe half a dozen bedrooms scattered around the building - ours had a fantastic view out across the mountains (see the pics I'm about to upload) and was spacious, airy, clean, and had a good en-suite bathroom. There was no one else staying in the hostel while we were there; we met quite a few people who'd been staying at Plantation House (and had complaints about it, broken beds, etc.), but Hostal Posada del Angel seems pretty much unknown and I'd recommend it 100%

The place was really nice for the coast. A small studio with an amazing balcony in addition of a stunning view. Don’t underestimate this amazing place where the people are also welcoming and the place around beautiful and enjoyable. Muchas gracias por todo y hasta luego

An excellent place with amazing people and great service. It was a pleasure to spend our vacation here. The staff is kind and professional, taking care of every detail. The homely feeling and atmosphere are very fun and pleasant here. Thanks alot

Very good and very nice staff they was very clean and took care about every little concern we had. The location is very good tight next to the main part of the town and all in all very good experience we had here is Salento. They have free cafe and tea and very nice seating area
