Hotel is situated in the centre of Salcombe. The rooms are a bit ‘tied’ with stains on the carpet. This aside, a lovely hotel to stay in with excellent staff. Receptionists, restaurant staff and housekeepers - all a great team. The car park and luggage attendant must get a special mention. Breakfast was continental - a cooked breakfast is available on request at a charge of around £10. Evening dinners are superb. Large choice with good portion sizes. All cooked to perfection. Normally 3 fish dishes from fish caught by Brixham / Plymouth fishing trawlers. Excellent views across the estuary from our terrace room. The spa / swimming pool is a good size and well looked after. Treatments are available. We will definitely return.!!!

A supposedly very posh hotel with high end prices in a prime site on Cliff Road. The morning and afternoon reception staff cool and reserved but helpful, evening staff exceptional - well done Chloe. Rooms not well cleaned or prepared; everyone had a complaint which was reported and action taken to remedy the situation. Food quality reasonable; the chicken dish with stuffed mushrooms and sea bream were the only outstanding items out of six mains ordered. The wine was horrendously expensive, the cheapest chardonnay from Languedoc tasted as if it still had wood chips in it and was not chilled enough. The terrace was the best part as it was in sunshine and warm, although blankets were provided if necessary.

The Harbour Hotel Salcombe is a lovely hotel with a beautiful outlook overlooking the estuary. We stayed in a room with a view and a balcony and loved being able to sit and watch life on the water. The bed in the room was super-comfortable. However it was a little smaller than had been described online. The room was supposed to be 35m2 but our room was definitely smaller. This made things a tight squeeze for us as we had quite a bit of luggage. The location of the hotel is great - at one end of Salcombe and within easy walking distance of the shops and restaurants. The staff in the hotel, restaurant and spa were all exceptional. The hotel is a wonderful place to spend a relaxing few days.

Looks the part but starts to show its flaws we stayed for 4 nights and were ready to go home! We stayed in room 409 - overlooks the road. We could hear everything - bin day 6am on Monday and 7am on Thursday. No chance of sleeping in if you are having a break. Bathroom mould needs attention. Rooms also have no air conditioning so you’re forced to open the windows for air. This is when all the flies come in! If you want a he cooked breakfast it’s not part of the standard b&b rate - there is an additional £10 to pay per head. Plus if you want a specialist coffee that’s also chargeable at breakfast. Parking is in the tiny car park and is charged at £10 per night. You’re also required to hand over your keys (for security reasons). We walked out of hotel to see a member of staff moving our car!!! Service was ok - most staff were friendly and helpful. We only experienced one frosty barman who warmed up eventually. Based on the above I wouldn’t visit again or recommend.

I visited the hotel for my birthday this weekend and the experience was amazing. From the moment I walked into the restaurant Adam offered me a drink straight away and seated outside in front of the most beautiful view. I was then served by Bo who brought out the most incredible cream tea. She noticed when our glasses were getting empty and offered a top up without having to ask. I then had a spa day booked with massages and facials included. Katie the spa manager was so welcoming at the desk and showed us where to go. Me and my friend had massages by Katie and Maddie. Both therapists were incredible. They made us feel super comfortable and relaxed the whole way through. Katie even made me a little bag up for my birthday which I thought was such a lovely touch. I couldn’t recommend her enough. The perfect day out for any birthday. Thankyou team harbour for making my birthday so special.

A lovely hotel with excellent service from very friendly staff. The valet parking was especially good, in a place where parking would otherwise be very difficult. They even plugged my car in and charged it overnight without me even asking. My mother stayed in an accessible room which had everything she needed, even a lovely view, which isn't always the case with accessible rooms. The only slight drawback was that the only way out of the hotel is up a steep slope which she found rather difficult to walk on. I don't know how easy this would be for wheelchair users but it's worth checking. Otherwise the location is excellent, close to the town centre without being in it. We enjoyed all the food, especially the fresh fish. I'm still trying to cook it at home as well as they did, but so far without success.

Fabulous afternoon in the spa. Beautiful pool area and fresh fruit and water a lovely touch. We had prosecco in the pool area which was lovely. We both had pedicure treatments and a manicure with Maddy - she was fantastic, really looked after us and took her time to make sure we were comfortable and relaxed. Would ask for her every time. Thank you for a lovely afternoon. We also spent time up on the terrace - Beautiful views and very comfortable. Please can the bar team assign a dedicated member of staff to this area. Very slow to come out to you, us and other tables kept struggling to hail someone over. Not just once but on different occasions visiting it just seems to be separate to the main bar

Excellent location for a midweek break. The staff in all areas cannot be more helpful, providing a great service. The Jetty restaurant dining at both breakfast and dinner was spot on. Special mention must go to Maddy in the Spa who was a pleasure to meet and recommended to all who want a relaxing treatment

Fantastic hotel location even our harbour glimpse room had a partial view although mostly the carpark. Room was a bit stuffy could do with air con but was provided with a decent fan so not that bad but in Summer would be hot. Large kingsize although quite soft for us. Room was perfectly clean and well stocked, food both breakfast and dinner perfect We were surprised by the lack of quality restaurants in Salcombe unlike Padstow and Foy for instance but fortunately the hotel food was superb and judging by how busy it is the rest of the town agrees, serving staff fantastic! We loved our stay overall would come again but hope to be able to book a better view room
