I was expecting how good the main dish Nozawa Na is, but I was disappointed with the same as Nozawa Na that I always buy at the supermarket. This was good because breakfast was a buffet and there were many kinds of bread and wrapped in a small partition. The free food of shine muscat was unexpected and this was really happy. Milk is also drinking milk with a bottle! It feels like it. The public bath is hemp. The sulfur smell is weak as expected. It is safe for the elderly with tatami mats. The hot bath in three bathtubs was unexpectedly unbearable at the normal hot water level. Because it is hot water, if the source thinks Doba Doba, it is simply hot because the hot bath is narrow. The bathtub of the hot water is a large bathtub, so the temperature falls compared to the bathtub of the hot water. The hot water in the large bathtub flows shallow, so the temperature falls further. If I thought that the public bath was disappointing, I thought that the open air was not good, and the sulfur smell was strong and the temperature was suitable, so I felt this was just wonderful. If you're staying overnight, we recommend a room at Tanadakan. The modest course meal was perfect for the elderly. Gem in Nozawa. One of the best ryokan in Nozawa. Professional top quality staff. Breakfast and dinner (optional) are served on the second and third floor. English speaking staff available. A showcase of Japanese hospitality.  We had the kaiseki dinner and shabu shabu dinner at the ryokan which was excellent.  Within the ryokan, there are single sex indoor and outdoor onsen (with sauna facility) and also a private onsen for reservation. The ryokan is in the middle of Nozawa village, with a short main street of shops and many free public onsens. There are a few hot steam buns stores and also multiple craft beer joints.  From the ryokan, walk 3-5 minutes up a steep hill to reach the moving walkway up the ski hill. Very convenient.  From Nozowa village bus station, there is a free shuttle bus which can bring you to five different ski resorts around town.  Ryokan Sakaya is highly recommended and early reservations are necessary

Hotel location is suitable for driving, parked outside the door. The hotel is small, but the facilities are complete, breakfast and dinner are also very rich. The staff is very warm and courteous and kind to the children. There are many small animal origami for the children ☺️

At night, you can use up the entire snow trail when the last group of night skiing. The location is just right next to the green line, and novices need not have pressure. The only fly in the ointment is that you need to take sunrise express up, then take the chairlift down, and then there will be a snowmobile pick-up (winter), but you need to drag your luggage around the snowy hillside in the middle. Location is excellent, about 1 minutes walk to the train station, or to the main street, both of which have lots of restaurants. The staff are very helpful, although only 1 lady could speak reasonable English. The rooms are very spacious, and comfortable, although the bathroom is on the old side. Those who used the onsen really loved it, although you have to pay an onsen tax, even if you don't use it. Breakfast is on the expensive side, and even little kids have to pay. However, free coffee/tea and soup are provided in the lounge area. There are lot of lockers, but only 2 washers/dryers. The dryer function is not effective, even after 60 mins of drying, so I ended up hanging the clothes in the room to dry instead.

Stunning place to stay. Amazing views from very spacious rooms. Excellent service. Nothing was too much trouble. Teens had the best time exploring and making snow men. Enjoyed skiing at a close resort as Naspa skiing was over for the season. Easy access to town bus leaves every half hr.
