Hi guys a disaster area. No airco. warm, warm, warm. Slamming doors. it is not possible to close the door without slamming it. Bang Bed was good, Breakfast was standard. Not bad. But diner. A disaster. Never had such a awful diner. the veal was soggy. tasteless. The fries were brown, and not crispy. regards schliek

Very quiet place. Only hotel around the area like this. Stayed very busy. Great breakfast options. Rooms are very small. Beds are comfortable.

Not a great hotel. Payment was asked for on arrival - if we wanted to pay at the end of our stay our pre quoted price would be more. Room was poky with poor facilities - not able to make a hot drink Dinner was poor - same choice each evening and not up to usual Logis standard Breakfast was adequate Will return to the Cherbourg peninsula but won’t be staying here

Good beds, thin walls
Pretty good hotel.
Breakfast can be better imo.
Also the walls are very thin.
I could here my neighbour snore.
But the beds are great.

Hotel rooms were comfortable, the window shutters are great. The restaurant serves a regional menu, including regional beers. The breakfast was the standard bread, pastries, cereal, fruits and cheese. The location was easy to find, and a great spot to stay if planning on visiting the town. The town is close enough to walk if you want alternative options for food.

The probably listed from reviews, three stars. How this happened is beyond me. I booked two rooms one with two separate beds. The reception said there is one room with one bed and one child’s bed. I said that fine and paid. Went to the room and it was one beds. Went back in to correct it and she said says you booked two rooms with one bed. Not the case, even she said one room with two separate beds. I said ant the room with the two separate beds and she charged me an inconvenience fee of $30.
The rooms were very subpar at best, old lighting poor window treatment and the bathroom not very clean. The scary thing is the lighting in the hall ways and by the elevator was dark and lights were off. You can find a light switch and turn on the very low lights gets and a few minutes lighter they turn off. My granddaughter didn’t feel safe.
This place is an older hotel that’s poorly and cheaply restored and not worth staying at. Not for families. The two stars is for the breakfast which was fine.
When I wanted to complain to the manager he turned away and went to his office to let the front girl to handle my issue. Hotel get a ‘0’ and the breakfast a 2. For a man wanting a no fuss place and doesn’t care about service, this might work for you, but not me and my family.

When looking for a place to stay look no further than Hotel le Sainte Mere. Although this is a hotel, Xavier and his wife welcome you here as a guest to their house. They arranged our dinner booking and set up our ride back to the Carentan train station. Easy 5 minute walk to the town center, so look no further, this is your place.
