We (me, my wife and my two 15 year old twins) stayed in this nice boutique hotel for 2 weeks in August 2024. For us, it was an ideal location in Set Marie de Ré with nice rooms and a very friendly team. We rented bikes directly at the hotel and took the upgrade to have a little kitchen area for dinner independence. Sure, there are very nice restaurants on the island, but the evenings on our terrace were best! We will come here again!

We went for a 5-day family holiday with our 2 tween/teenagers and had a great time. The hotel was very welcoming and comfortable. We made good use of the warm swimming pool. Breakfast was good. The rooms were simple, clean, had everything we needed and everything had been thought through and worked perfectly.

Fantastic small friendly hotel. staff were excellent, welcoming and always helpful .Bike hire available at a good price .breakfast fantastic with local produce .bar service available all day and light snacks and light meals also available. Small pool great for children and cooling off .close to a beach with rock pools .hotel surrounded by vineyards with glimpses of the Atlantic near by . short walk to a lovely town. Free bus service locally and regular buses to other towns on the Island and La Rochelle.

Room was very nice and the pool whilst cold was nice, staff were as helpful as they could be. The area that really let the hotel down was the food, despite booking breakfast the night before they didn't have enough croissants etc for us (€18 per head) and all the lunch / dinner options were frozen jars of premade pasta and they didn't even have all of the ones on the menu, which made it a nightmare with kids. If it was much cheaper I'd care less, but for the money paid I'd expect to be able to eat something fresh / at least have the choice on the menu - meant we had to go out for each meal 😢

The hotel is brand new and very clean but it's hard to recognize it as a 4 star hotel. The swimming pool is quite small, and above all every extra (as parking, breakfast, coffe, bikes ) has to be payed quite expensive.
The very positive note is the service, Stesy and the other reception girls have been exceptional. Extremely kind, helpful and with a great sense of problem solving.

Voici la traduction en français de la critique : Carlotta B a écrit une critique 1 contribution Il y a 3 jours À l'ombre des 4 étoiles. Une température d'incubation de 40 degrés avec la climatisation L'ombre des 4 étoiles. Nous avons réservé deux lofts pour deux nuits à la mi-août pour deux familles au prix de 800 euros par famille. Au moment de l'enregistrement, les informations sont fournies à la réceptionniste qui parle anglais. Non, bien que le lit pour bébé soit arrivé en avance par rapport à la réservation, c'était un peu trop tôt. Lorsque nous avons compris qu'il n'y aurait pas de climatisation dans notre chambre, alors que la température était de 40 degrés à l'ombre, nous nous sommes plaints, demandant des explications et un changement d'air. La réception doit être ouverte et ce ne sera pas possible et vous devrez d'abord passer un autre exemplaire pour pouvoir vous enregistrer. La piscine est un carré. Le Wi-Fi ne fonctionne pas. Le loft doit être fourni dans une cuisine qui ne doit pas être une kitchenette, mais seulement sur une vieille plaque à brancher sur le courant. Une lumière d'incubateur à l'ombre des 4 étoiles est dessinée sur le mur.

L'ombra delle 4 stelle. Abbiamo prenotato due loft per 2 notti a Ferragosto per due famiglie con una spesa di 800 euro a famiglia. Al check-in abbiamo poche informazioni senza che nessuna delle receptionist parlasse inglese. Non avevano messo il baby coat chiesto in anticipo nella prenotazione, effettuata un mese e mezzo prima. Quando abbiamo capito che non c'era l'aria condizionata nelle nostre camere, com 40 gradi di temperatura all'ombra, ci siamo lamentati, chiedendo spiegazioni e un cambio camera. La reception ha detto che non era possibile e ha fatto passare avanti un'altra coppia che doveva fare il check-in. La piscina è una pozza. Il wifi non funziona. Il loft doveva essere fornito di una cucina che non ha neanche un fornello, na solo una piastra vecchia da attaccare alla corrente. Un soggiorno da incubo all'ombra di 4 stelle disegnate nella parete.
