Worst experience of my life. We arrived at 10 PM on December 31St Planning to spend a lovely night and when we arrived, the heating was off. Temperature outside was -3°C. We turned on the heating, but it wasn’t working on my room was at 17°C. At 1 AM we called reception but this hotel is empty at night so we had to wait half an hour for the receptionist to come Put the brakes on so the heating started working. Half an hour later the Light went off again with the heating and this has been happening eight times from 1 AM to 8 a.m. The manager has made us pay and I have called the police. Manager is on polite unprofessional and a disgrace. Do not come to this hotel. If you have any problem, they won’t solve it and they will make you pay. Disgusting. We are going now to the police to file a complaint

A lovely atmospheric place to stay. We had a beautiful room named 'Catherine' which the owner had obviously chosen for me! A huge room with a lovely modern bathroom and it felt very 'french'. The only downside was the air conditioning didn't seem to work hence four not five stars (mentioned to staff). The owner was welcoming and staff were efficient. The breakfast and evening meal were delicious. You can only eat here as it is a tiny village in the middle of nowhere but it was obvious to us that many people use it to stay when they are on business trips. Plenty of parking and safe 'out of sight' for motorbikers.

Absolutely perfect place to stay when you’re working near Lyon. The food is incredible and the garden is a lovely place for a glass of wine! Logistics is very easy, staff are lovely and can speak English. Room is amazing! Would recommend to anyone!

Had a one night stay here as a family of three (us and our 15 weeks old baby.) The chateau is beautiful. A nice mix of old and new, decorated to a very high standard. Our room was perfect (number 6), with a huge wet room and separate toilet. The grounds of the hotel are pretty. We especially liked the small garden outside of the hotel restaurant. Food was 10/10. Plenty of choice, very tasty. The staff are also friendly and helpful. Would stay again for sure.

We stayed in stunning rooms in the main tower, the largest one even had a TV projector! The hotel is very conveniently located for visits east of Lyon. Children and adults were also delighted by the dinner at the hotel's restaurant.

We booked 2 rooms thru Bookings. At the Bookings website We made sure the rooms would have air conditioning. When we got there the rooms were Hot, well over 80f. I turned on the air unit in my room and it took around 8 hours to get the room down to a cool temperature, around 1am. I had to move a mattress to the floor in front of the air conditioning vent to get any sleep. My private bathroom was down a flight of stairs. In the other room the handicap shower drain clogged and basically flooded the entire room. When the staff came to fix it we asked them to look at the air conditioning due to it being so hot. The staff did some adjustments to the unit and said the cooling was in the floor and it would get cool. It never did and when we asked someone else they told us that the room never had air conditioning.. We were given 25 euro discount on our dinner for both rooms being Hot and the flooding of the one room The hotel told us we should have asked for air conditioning when we booked the rooms. We explained Booking said they had air conditioning. I am sure Bookings got that information from the hotel and didn’t just make it up. Plus the hotel should have approved the Bookings listening. Be careful booking with the hotel or Bookings. There are several rooms that don’t have air conditioning and the one room that had it took forever to actually get to comfortable level. Mike

We stayed one night on a trip through France, and booked the „chamber familial“, kind of a suite. It is in the middle of nowhere, but it gives you this wonderful feeling of old country side nobility. Solid walls, old doors like a castle, probably the biggest master bedroom ever seen. Fully renovated, it feels very clean and well run. A pity they removed the fireplaces, but probably need the dove for modern heating. The hosts are super nice and also serve dinner (which is good, as there was nothing open close by) and a nice natural breakfast buffet. The building is so great, we’re almost expecting to see ghosts;-), a änd we warmly recommend the whole experience!
