Located in St Simeon, on the side of St Lawrence River. We stayed in 2-room chalet. Great views of sunrise and of whales and other marine creatures. The small town has several restaurants and is within short driving to significant points of interest, such as La Malbaie , Baie St Paul and the Saguenay fjord. Beds were comfortable, and the mini kitchen was well appointed. Service was excellent, staff and owner helpful and friendly. In fact, after we discovered we had had some road damage to the car tires, the owner helped us find the right place to fix the car, expeditiously (not an easy task on a Friday pm).

I was scared by some terrible reviews but our experience was great! The motel was impeccably clean and backed onto a beautiful river. We spent the night sleeping with the screen door open, listening to the river rushing by. It was such luxury after hotel AC. It's probably the best location of any hotel/motel I've ever stayed at. It's not fancy but clean and bright with a fridge, coffee and everything we needed. The reception staff spoke little English but were incredibly kind and helpful, going out of their way to help us find food for my picky kids.

This place was absolutely disgusting. As soon as you walked in it smelled like cat pee. The back door didn’t lock properly. You open the closet and it smelled like there was a litter box. Management is very rude. If you speak English expect to be treated like crap. Couldn’t spend more then 10 min there without having my eyes water and getting a headache. This is the worst place I’ve have visited! Only has 1/5 because I cannot put 0.

If all you want is a bed with a view this is fine, the view is spectacular and the bed is comfortable. The tiny room is cramped with two beds two plastic chairs and a rolling chair. One bedlamp didnt work and the manager couldnt/wouldn't fix/replace it, another was strobing so i moved it to another extension and it worked sufficiently but the larger table was so cheap it actually started to buckle. When we turned the tv off the screen seemed to stay lit all night. Thinnest toilet paper ive ever seen in my life and its the first place ive been to where there wasnt another roll present 😫 Its obviously an older motel since plugs were scarce. I didnt dare try their coffee(maker). You get what you pay for.

Really nice place to stay at. We rented a 2 bedroom cottage and loved it. Nice and cozy and relaxing. Rooms are clean and well taken care of. Looks more like a camping site then a hotel place. I took the time to take in the fresh air and even had the chance to see a whale passing in front of the cottages. Amazing!
