Hôtel la Ramade

We were lucky to find this stay in a more castle than hotel. Two houses, a large garden with pool, an excellent restaurant and large breakfast. The room was large, with a balcony and of course well equipped with bathroom, WiFi, car parking just in front and very quiet. So good, that we decided to stay one more day. Everything great, very focus to guess satisfaction. Room ample and pristine, very good bathroom also ample. Is a n excellent place to stay if you wan to visit the Mount Saint Michel.

Sadly, we only had one night in Avranches - we would have loved to stay longer at this wonderful hotel. The hotel is made up of three large villas set in beautiful gardens; it’s gorgeous. We loved our room (for 3 people), which was large and thoughtfully decorated and equipped. The photos on the website don’t show just how gorgeous it is. The staff were superb and went above-and-beyond. They were always incredibly thoughtful in every interaction and very friendly. The gardens are great for kids and adults alike, with lots of places to sit or run around (cosy outdoor sofas etc). I could also see this hotel being lovely and cosy in the winter. I really want to come back and spend a week! I never bother reviewing anywhere unless it’s particularly good or particularly bad and the Hotel Ramade was exceptionally good.

We had a lovely stay here in the villa. Fantastic room. Very nicely presented and very clean. Very good shower.

We recently stayed at La Ramade and we really enjoyed it. Our host gave us a lovely welcome and a short tour of the property. We enjoyed our drinks relaxing in the beautiful garden. The breakfast in the gorgeous solarium was wonderful. What a great way to start the day! We arrived on a Sunday and hadn't made any dinner reservations but our host was able to obtain reservations for that night and the next at two nearby and amazing restaurants. . La Ramde is a short drive to Mont Saint-Michel and there is a charming town close by. Next time, I would upgrade our room. We had a "chambre classique" (double bed) which had everything we needed but we would have liked more room. It was a memorable stay and we highly recommend La Ramade, not just for the accommodations and gardens but also for the friendly service.

My wife and I spent (2) nights in May. We stayed on the 2nd floor of the Villa (newer building on property). We had a wonderful view of a garden area with a pond. Very pleasant and very quiet. Breakfasts are hosted in a beautiful iron and glass room on the side of the main house. We asked for restaurant recommendations and the young lady at reception provided a excellent choice, along with contacting the restaurant and making the reservation for us. This is situated about a 5 minute drive from "downtown" Avranches and about a 25 minute drive to Mont St Michel.

To visit Mont Sainte Michele the next day we chose to spend a night in Avranches, what a shame to have so little time to enjoy this place. Central house and outbuildings, all well-kept, our room which is called Mont Sainte Michele, also had a small terrace overlooking a well-kept and beautiful garden, it is spacious, clean functional. Lovely setting and convenient location for the ports. Very warm welcome. Really excellent condition and very comfortable. On the morning of departure there was a power outage through no fault of the hotel and the team dealt with it really well - would definitely stay again.

This property is perfect as a base for visiting many of the wonderful locations in the area. We used it when visiting the Dior Museum in Granville, then Mont St Michel. The accommodation is very spacious and quiet and the breakfasts will set you up for a great day which can then be completed on your own balcony overlooking the gorgeous gardens.
