We booked this hotel as part of a business trip for our team.
We book hundreds of stays per year for our remote teams and always have good experiences with the accommodations we choose.
When our team arrived, the receptionist refused to take our company credit card because we were not present, in person. They then refused to take our staff’s company Visa’s (they’re through a debit service and do not have printed names). After speaking with them on the phone directly, they wanted nothing to do with our credit card and our reservation. Their explanation was that there is a lot of fraud. Which in this case was completely irrelevant given the team called me and I am the card owner.
All this to say, they refused our business, made an already long and tiresome day worst for a credit card we provided them with.
I understand this won’t affect the majority of stays at this hotel, but if they can welcome guests like this, I’m afraid to think how they would deal with more serious issues.
