We stayed for 4 nights in the main house / first floor. Arrival was seemless and welcoming : Juliette was a delight and very friendly and helpful. The chateau itself is beautifully presented / rooms delightful & clean. The pool area is superb with large spaces to spread out have privacy and a guaranteed lounger. All of this area is impeccable as you would expect. There is a bar & lunch (restaurant) area here too. The space benefits from a very large garden / much bigger in reality which is a delight as often places use wider angle lenses to picture and then clients are just disappointed! We eat here on the 4 nights outside in front of the chateau / tables are beautiful/ & well spaced out to give privacy / again such an important element. Dinner was exquisite / we mixed it up over the 4 nights as the menu did not change. On one night we had the beef sharing for 2 / this was disappointing/ we found it tough / but we didn’t say anything as it was probably the cut. We had breakfast and it was lovely / we had the ‘chateau menu’ which gave a good mix. Overall, our stay - was as it said on the tin / not cheap / but as expected which is great when on holidays that you get what you expect. You definitely need a car here as it is too far from St. Remy. Parking is very secure / all locked in. One thing to note is that the chateau take outside bookings for lunch by the pool where lunch guests swim and hang out by the pool area. This area is not exclusive to staying paying guests. This area is also not secure or locked in / so be careful with young children. When we stayed, there was a mix of clients from families to couples.

My wife and I stayed here in 2023. We had an amazing experience. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The rooms are clean and well maintained. The food is delicious. All, of which, should be expected for a hotel of this caliber. The thing that sets this place apart are the grounds and property. The experience of sitting out front, having a quite breakfast and coffee with my wife as the cool breeze and morning sun light filtered thru the plane trees lining the long drive leading into the property. This is a memory that will stay with me for the rest of my life. If you are considering this hotel, do yourself a favor and book it. You will not regret it.

**Hotel Review: A Honeymoon Experience Gone Wrong** We recently stayed at what was supposed to be a luxurious five-star hotel for our honeymoon, and it was, unfortunately, a series of disappointing events that tarnished what should have been a special occasion. From the moment we arrived, we realized that the hotel didn’t live up to its five-star rating, and I urge anyone considering this hotel to read this review in full — especially the negative reviews from others, which, in hindsight, we should have done more thoroughly ourselves. No Room Service on the Second Night The real shock came on our second night when we were informed that the hotel would not be providing any room service whatsoever. The reason? They had a “special chef” in town for a private event, and as a result, the hotel restaurant was unavailable to regular guests. This seemed absurd to us. How does a five-star hotel, one that promotes itself on service and luxury, simply cut off all room service because of a private event? When we booked this hotel, we did so under the assumption that it would maintain a high level of service. Room service is a standard offering at any reputable hotel, and this standard was not met. Things escalated further when we tried to address this issue with the manager or owner, a woman named Maya. To say that Maya was rude would be an understatement. From the moment we raised our concerns, she was dismissive and aggressive. I explained that it wasn’t our problem if the restaurant was booked for a private event — we were paying guests who were promised a certain level of service, and this was a major inconvenience. This hotel is located in a small town, where you need to drive to get to places especially if you are older or have kids. Kitchens close around 9 at the most restaurants so your options are very limited. Maya, however, offered no empathy or understanding. Instead, she became confrontational and unapologetic, making the entire situation even worse. An Insulting “Solution…. After our phone conversation, Maya called back and told us she would make a "very big exception" for us. Her grand gesture? She offered us *eggs* as room service. Yes, eggs. In what world is that considered an acceptable offer at a five-star hotel? It felt like a slap in the face, as if they were mocking us for even requesting room service in the first place. We declined her "offer" and ended up having to leave the hotel to search for a restaurant in the small, remote town. This was no easy feat, as the hotel is far from any major city and took us hours to drive to from Nice. What makes this entire situation even more unfortunate is the fact that this was supposed to be a romantic getaway for our honeymoon. We had looked forward to a peaceful, relaxing experience, but instead, we spent much of our time feeling frustrated and disrespected by the hotel staff. The attitude of the management, particularly Maya, left a lasting negative impression. A five-star hotel sho

A Dream of a Gem in Provence! Everything, from the beautiful settings to the outstanding local cuisine, gorgeously furnished rooms along with exquisite bed linen, is out of this world. How amazing and admirable that a family home can be kept in such style to indulge its guests. Long may it last. Cannot wait to come back. Be sure to find Vlad who will enhance your stay :)

We absolutely loved our time at the Chateau. The staff is incredible and so helpful. We spent a fabulous day at the stunning pool. Would definitely recommend taking break from touring just to relax and enjoy everything. The area has so much to do, but it was so nice to slow down just a bit here. I cannot speak highly enough about the restaurant, as well. We had dinner twice and breakfast twice. The restaurant was truly a highlight of our time in France. Be sure to make dinner reservations!

A lovely, stately building, elegantly appointed and the warmest, most helpful service I think we have ever seen. From the second we arrived, the team does everything possible to make your visit easy, enjoyable and distinguished. We ate at the Chateau all three nights and the food and service are impeccable. The first night I had one of the best fish dishes of my life. Simple, bright, fresh, perfectly cooked with a light spring sauce. Wow! An easy 20 minute walk into town to the nice restaurants, shops and Musee Estrine. We also walked 20 minutes further to the Glanum Ruins and the St Paul Mausole where Van Gogh was hospitalized. What a beautiful place. We were very moved. We are already planning our return.

My husband and I were in the south of France for 3 weeks and we stayed at Le Chateau des Alpilles for three nights....and already I wished we had stayed even longer! This is without a doubt, one of the finest hotels I have ever stayed...anywhere in the world. Superlatives just can't do this hotel justice. Pulling into the 100+ year old tree-lined drive of the property, you immediately see the Chateau and think of it as a palace. We were immediately greeted by Vlad, the best valet, porter, greeter, front desk person we've ever met (sorry we didn't get to see him on his motorcycle, but that's another story!!). Honestly, the entire hotel staff was excellent...for the waitress at breakfast to the front desk people helping with taxis and dinner reservations. The staff is all attentive, professional, friendly and available. Fantastic. The physical property is beyond description! From the swimming pool, tennis courts, lawn lounging chairs, spa, koi pond/fountain, outdoor dining and fantastic bar....every aspect of this hotel is perfection. Everything is exceptionally well maintained, thought out, and available whenever a guest needs it. Our room was spectacular...spacious, well appointed, comfortable chairs, plenty of storage space (and drawers!). The bed was heaven and the bathroom, with it's double vanity, had plenty of space and fantastic water pressure! One of thousands of noticed details...the windows all have screens on them, so you can actually sleep with the windows opened at night (to hear the frogs!) without fear of being eaten alive by bugs...Brilliant thinking. Rarely would I select a hotel first and the destination second...generally we agree on a town/city and then pick a hotel accordingly. But in the case of Le Chateau des Alpilles, I would definitely come back for 4-5 nights just to spend ever minute at the hotel. It was THAT good! Thanks to everyone for taking such good care of us!...We'll definitely be back.

When you pull off the road into the Chateau's driveway, look down the tree-lined road and get your first glimpse of the Chateau you know you're in for something special. It is truly an historic home and the exterior reflect the pedigree of the estate. Vlad greeted us, took our bags and showed us into the house. We were introduced and he took our keys from us to park our car. Everyone was very welcoming and friendly. After we were checked in we were shown to our room (#12). It was gorgeous and was decorated in the style of the house without being overly fussy. Two large windows overlooked the park/garden and a huge mirror gave the room the impression of much more space. The bathroom was spacious and the wardrobe enormous. After we settled in we decided to go downstairs for a drink before dinner, sitting outside under the majestic trees. Since we were not familiar with the area the hotel arranged for a car to take us to our restaurant and pick us up. Great service! After a fantastic night's sleep (it is so quiet at the Chateau), we went down for breakfast. Again, we sat outside. We both ordered the Chateau breakfast and it was huge! So many pastries and breads, fruit and juice, coffee and more. We felt bad we didn't finish even half of it. The following day we actually ordered just some eggs which came with baguette and that was plenty. Before we embarked on each day's journey Vlad would ask us what we were doing and make suggestions as to other points of interest. We took his advice and visited Les Baux de Provence, which was a short drive from the Chateau and then visited a local olive oil producer. It was a fun day. That night (and the following) the hotel arranged for a car, which was super convenient. When I mentioned the restaurant we had booked for our final night the front desk person said that it was not a good choice. He recommended another restaurant and made the reservation for us. As it turned out, the place he selected was fantastic and we were treated to a lovely sunset drive back from dinner. During our stay we did take advantage of the pool and laid around on chaise lounges. We didn't use the gym or the spa, however. Overall it was a wonderful stay. The property is well maintained and the staff is friendly and welcoming. We look forward to returning. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Incredible experience staying in this utterly charming Chateau. From the moment you enter the gates and drive up the tree lined drive you feel transported. The property is absolutely stunning, the rooms tastefully decorated and full of personal touches, the breakfast and dinner served in the park like setting outside were scrumptious. But what truly sets this place apart is the service. The staff went out of their way to meet our every need and made us feel so incredibly welcomed. A special thank you to Vlad and Ann, whose suggestions of places to visit, as well as attractions and restaurants to try were spot on, and we enjoyed getting to know them. Staying at Le Chateau des Alpilles was one of the highlights of our trip, and I cannot recommend this place highly enough.
