Village Club les Mas de l'Esterel

We have just come back from a holiday here in Agay. The Village Club Les Mas de L'Esterel is very beautiful placed at the foot of the Esterel Massif. We had booked a flat for 8 people and in the booking it said we had a view of the landmark and in the photoes at *********** it showed a nice view from the big flats. When we arrived the reality was somehow different, look at photoes I have put by. Our view from both balconies was into a roof and a building. So very far from what we had been promised in our booking. The flat was a bit dark and had signs of being worn down a bit. Apart from that the surroundings af the site are very nice, nice pool area (remember your speedoes), areas for minigolf for free were good and the beach was excellent. What I can recommend is that you either pay for seaview if that is what you want, or that you specifically write in your booking that you what a view of the Massif (landmark) even though it says it in your booking. We had a nice week there but part of the holiday for us is to have a room with a view, so that sort of marked it down.

Exceptionally clean and well-organised. Warm and professional personnel. There are options that we didn’t have the opportunity to try but we will be back next year. The way that it is built facing the sea makes it more pleasant.

I am an Englishman who has relocated to live in this beautiful region. I have been coming to cross-training and Strong Nation sessions at the Cabine Fitness in the Village Club in Agay for the past year or so. I am inspired to write this review because we (and the Club!) are just so lucky to have such a motivated and knowledgeable coach in Seb to lead these sessions. He is a real gem who has a gift for being able to explain in simple, understandable terms the science and technicalities of the various movements we practice - but beyond this he is just extremely welcoming to everyone attending his sessions, motivating us to perform to the very best of our ability. He is also working constantly to improve the fitness zone, and to add to his (already very impressive) array of machines and fitness tools. I am now (almost) 60 years old. I participate enthusiastically in his sessions, and get so much out of it. Seb pushes us when necessary, as well as adapts the movements and skills to our own personal level. He welcomes all ages (from kids to borderline pensioners like me!) and all fitness and skill levels, and the ambiance he generates always makes the sessions fun, even when they are challenging (and they always are!). I truly believe that absolutely everyone can benefit from Seb’s classes - beginners, intermediate or advanced, young and old alike. If you are lucky enough to get a chance, I would highly recommend you get yourself down to the “Fitness Cabin” at the Village Club and experience Seb and his teaching first hand. I guarantee your body will thank you! Thank you Seb, and the Village Club, for keeping this Englishman fit and happy in Var.
