Great welcome from a very knowledgeable host, combined with a masterclass cognac session.. Unfortunate not to get a room with the great views of the vineyards and unsure why this was the case as there appeared to be only one other couple staying. Our room was spacious and comfortable, although the stock photo and descriptions on the web site could lead to disappointment (no toiletries and no in room music/hifi) although this didn't affect our 1 night stay. Also unsure where the soft drink mini bar was located as indicated on the website. Website also needs to be updated as it has confusing information with regards what is included in the dinner option. For example Dinner within the website states: "Dinner is served every day by reservation Adult The set menu includes 1 aperitif (choice between liquor of cognacs, cognac, pineau...) 3 dishes, local wine, coffee." This is not the case. drinks are not included, and although it is mentioned on the tariff page it could missed and easily lead to disappointment and embarrassment at check out. The home cooked (with local ingredients) dinner in a stunning outside setting was lovely and tasty and knowledgeable conversation with Christine (who has fluent English) flowed as easy as the wine. Breakfast was a little disappointing during our stay and did not match reviews that we had previously read. It included a small breakfast roll, two confitures and butter. Fromage blanc (similar to yoghurt) and banana ( fruit option), although the Broyé du Poitou made up for a lack of croissants or pain au chocolate on offer during our stay. In summary, we enjoyed our day/evening combined with a cognac masterclass and tasting given by Christine's very knowledgeable husband. We would certainly consider returning if in the area again.

Arrivée au chant des oiseaux, et au cœur des vignobles de cognac à perte de vue, cet endroit est privilégié ! Une pépite à l’écart du tumulte (et proche de belles villes à découvrir ! Cognac, saintes, etc) Sven est un hôte très prévenant. Tous les 3, avec Stevan et Philippe ils cumulent la singularité d’être ouverts sur le monde et surtout centrés sur leurs hôtes ! Et multiculturels et ancrés dans le cognac et la grande champagne, dont Sven partage généreusement les meilleurs secrets locaux ! Une cuisine inventive, raffinée, qui témoigne de l’affection de Stevan pour ses hôtes et son envie de leur partager du bonheur dans l’assiette ! Assiettes aussi belles que délicieuses, c’est plus qu’une table d’hôtes, c’est de la poésie culinaire ! La meilleure table d’hôtes que nous ayons faite ! Le pdj est sur la même lignée fait de bons produits ! Et dans la salle face aux vignobles à perte de vue, on en prend plein les yeux ! Enfin, le relais est en fait une monumentale demeure, avec un air de vie de château ! De ses terrasses suspendues, son parc, à sa piscine, sa cours telle une cours d’honneur… La vie y est douce et le temps suspendu, parfait pour se ressourcer, et se faire chouchouter comme des rois ! Quoique la salle de réception, les jardins illuminés et les nombreux couchages nous donnnent aussi des idées festives 😁 Il nous faudra plus d’un séjour pour dénicher tous les secrets et les bienfaits de ce lieu, et c’est tant mieux ! On reviendra ! Merci infiniment à tous les 3

Nous avons été très bien accueillis par Sven et Stevan qui ont offert une expérience impeccable. Les repas sont excellents et très bien présentés, tout est goûteux et fin. La chambre est très confortable, nous avons très bien dormi. C’est silencieux et reposant. Je vous recommande de prendre un pineau sur la terrasse au coucher de soleil, Sven vous fera découvrir les meilleurs produits locaux.

Deze plaats is eerder een B&B dan een hotel. Het gebouw ligt vrij afgelegen, wat een positief punt is voor wie rust zoekt. Wie geen gebruik maakt van het diner van de gastvrouw is aangewezen op eerder ver afgelegen restaurants, en moet al eerder Cognac of Angoulème opzoeken (15-20 km). Geen airco- wat een nadeel was bij ons verblijf (41°) Het ontbijt is beperkt en weinig gevarieerd, maar zeker voldoende. Het enthousiasme van de gastvrouw maakt veel goed, en biedt een familiale sfeer. Zeker leuk en rustig verblijf voor 1 à 3 nachten.
