This is a hotel that definitely exceeds your expectations, provided you know how to appreciate the Atlantic Ocean! The hotel is right on the coast, and there is still a German defensive bunker from World War II in front of the door. I met an old European lady who was looking for treasure with a metal detector! The world of oysters and seafood, the first time I ate crab meat as a steamed bun, hehe 😁

We loved this hotel, and really needed to stay longer to enjoy it more. For one night it was a fabulous stopover. 8 of us shared 5 lovely self-contained bungalow rooms that circled the hotel grounds, with a sun terrace and pool. Staff were wonderful and so helpful, and the beer outside was great on our arrival. Lovely views over the sea just 30 metres away, and tranquil grounds around the hotel. Rooms were comfortable, delightfully furnished and lit, and the bathroom worked perfectly with a nice warm shower. Beautiful breakfast, and our own large space to enjoy it together, before we had to leave on our trip south. We had dinner at a nearby pizza restaurant, 10 mins walk, which was fabulous. Just wish we'd had more time to soak up the lovely surroundings.

What a lovely place, super location, right on a beach and close enough to the towns, other beaches and attractions on the island, with an added bonus of such friendly and helpful staff. We only had breakfast on one morning and it was plentiful, good value and delicious. The pool was lovely and it was warm and the sun-beds are comfortable. Our room was nicely furnished and so comfortable, with an apt seaside theme. There is a small fridge and tea/coffee are provided, also 2 bottles of water on the first day. Toiletries are provided as is a hairdryer and a safe and Wi-Fi was good in our room. We stayed for four nights and slept until at least 10am each morning - unheard of for us! As there is no air conditioning a tower fan was provided and we had bought our own fan too. The room temperature did get up to about 30° but this wasn't too much of an issue. Secure gated parking for cars. Check out 11:30am which was great.

First impression of quiet surroundings was a lasting one. No noise ever even the people seemed to speak in sotto voce. Exactly what we needed. After the drive from Paris of about 6h30. Room #11 was ours. I would've like a bit more space but our stay was for a few nights. Bedding was excellent. Very clean from top to bottom. Staff was friendly and accomodating: we needed a bit more time in the room before checking out and it was ok. Breakfast was not included unfortunately and for the 15€/per I was looking for more variety. The pool and its setting is well done and the upkeep/cleanliness was 4 star quality. We spoke with families that reserve as early as December to get the same rooms. We reserved in February and lucked out apparently. But really if you are looking for a solid night of sleep I'd recommend this île.

A nice hotel in a great natural setting
Our room was facing the ocean and a short walk was leading to the beach. Not really for swimming but very beautiful, especially at low tide. We did not use the pool but it was nice with lounge chairs around it. The breakfast was a nice buffet. The hotel is a 5’ drive from the picturesque harbor of La Cotiniere which has many shops and restaurants.

Stayed for three nights and wish it was longer. Fabulous stay with a brilliant pool and next to the beach. Able to walk into the town where there are many restaurants. Would recommend La Sardinerie restaurant. Weather was wonderful which helped!
