We arrived on a Sunday and did not expect the lovely reception we received. The receptionist took her time to give us all the details of the hotel she made sure we understood the layout the restaurant and most important details of the complimentary shuttle service to town along with a free 3 hour trip around the island with commentary. We were given clear instructions to our room as the hotel is on several levels. Our room was certainly well appointed, spotlessly clean and was kept exactly like that for our whole stay, the housekeeper was not intrusive but she was so efficient we hardly knew she was about. All areas of the hotel were comfortable clean including the well appointed garden and furniture. The restaurant and bar were close at hand and we were treated like family or so it seemed we certainly felt valued never too busy to share good humour especially the restaurant manager. A really enjoyable stay we really didn't want to leave......we will return

The De Havelet team are so welcoming and genuinely want to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We have stayed at this small Best Western hotel on several previous occasions and our most recent stay has been no exception; it was excellent in all respects. Our room was clean and well equipped, the breakfasts and evening meals were delicious and the pool and spa facilities were delightful. The hotel also runs a courtesy coach into the centre of St Peter Port which is a life saver for weary legs! My husband and I feel very well looked after - it is a real treat to stay here.

Could not fault this hotel! Everything was exceptional. The service, the food and the facilities! This was our first time in Guernsey and we were unsure of what to expect. We thought the island might be too quiet for us, but we could have stayed longer, there is so much to see and do. We will definitely be back.

I booked this hotel by preference following on from my previous stay here in February. I cannot fault it. Lovely comfortable room. Food fabulous. Staff attentive. Special acknowledgement to Ceser, Alexandro, Pitcha, and Luca for one but ALL staff are fantastic. Definitely recommend this hotel. I will return.

Restaurant Staff were not very friendly They obviously had their “special customers” who received special treatment. Food was average and expensive. Set menu was limited and only changed once a month! Method of table allocation was favoured towards their regular customers. Ambience of restaurant (Copenhagen bar) was dingy and very hot. They have a superb setting upstairs on the Wellington restaurant- why on earth was this only used for breakfast? We dined at The Moores Hotel in St Peter’s Port and this was excellent in every way it’s such a shame that the De Havelet can’t match the standards set by Moores

The hotel is in a great location, the hotel team are fantastic all have a great sense of humour but professional thru and thru , with exceptional food and service in the Copenhagen bar and grill,hotel rooms are a good size spotlessly clean as all guest area's. Looking forward to our next visit
