This is not up to relais and chateaux standards - we have stayed at many before and this is nothing like the others - far more basic with a small room, limited facilities in the room (very little space for clothes, sparse bathroom etc) and very limited facilities in the "hotel". It is essentially a restaurant with rooms or a bed and breakfast and should be advertised as such rather than as a hotel. It is very expensive for what it is - more than other very luxurious properties within your brand. And it was annoying to be asked at check out to pay more for staff. I've never seen that before and I hope I never do again.

Lovely stay, excellent food!
Had a lovely short stay at Auberge Basque. We took a garden room which was very cute and well decorated. The only downside was it was next to the carpark and road which was noisy and you could only have natural air by opening the back doors - We didn't want to use the air con so at night the room was a bit hot. The 6 course tasting menu was fantastic with some very interesting flavour mixes!

This is a charming property with an excellent restaurant; the food and wine pairing offered was exceptionally fine. Our room was beautifully appointed, and the hotel serves as an excellent base for exploring the lovely basque region.

Hôtel magnifique de quelques chambres ! Très beau standing. L’accueil, le service sont parfaits. La chambre 9 est grande et très bien équipée (café, eau plate, eau gazeuse, enceinte connectée). Chambre très propre et insonorisée. Petit déjeuner copieux (brunch). Extérieur très bien avec piscine. Parfait pour se reposer et boissons à volonté. Nous reviendrons.

Une nuit à l’hôtel, dîner et petit déjeuner. Un hôtel cosy, décoré avec beaucoup de goût ! Confort et élégance comme on aime.On s’y sent bien ! Le cadre est tout aussi charmant, verdure, potager,piscine.. On a adoré ! Le dîner ! Magnifique !Une association de saveurs incroyable ! Tout simplement délicieux ! Un art culinaire ! Toutes nos félicitations au chef et à sa brigade .Toute l’équipe est très professionnel et très sympathique. Le petit déjeuner ! Magnifique également ! Beaucoup de choix,des produits excellents faits maison ! Nous avons passé un très bon moment. On reviendra ! La Corrèze n’est pas si loin 😉😉

une seule étoile sur le papier mais pleins d’étoiles dans les assiettes du chef , pleins d’étoiles dans la bouteille de vin du pays basque , pleins d’étoiles dans le gâteau 36 de la cheffe pâtissière , on est reparti avec plein d’étoiles dans les yeux et dans la bouche après cet excellentissisme dîner ❤️ cerise sur le gâteau un excellent petit déjeuner avec les produits basque bien sûr , après une belle nuit calme au milieu de la verdure dans la maison basque typique , un havre de paix gastronomique , hors du temps , hélas il va falloir repartir mais nous reviendrons c’est sûr , en leur souhaitant d’être récompensé de leur excellent travail par d’autres étoiles ⭐️⭐️⭐️
