Always the Best place to stay. Rooms and public places are always clean and neat. Location is so much fun with walking attractions and more high-end dining than you could ever sample. Great Place to stay if attending and event at River Center or The X

Hyatt Place St Paul/Downtown

Beautiful historic Post-Office building next to restored St. Paul Depot train station - loved the edge of downtown location. This hotel is part of a larger building of condos and has unique rooms which are large, newly restored, clean with friendly staff and easy access to walk or drive/highways. Beautiful walk/exercise along the riverfront (when the weather is good - ha). If the streets are too quiet for you, during M-F be sure to go up into the 2nd story skyway system where there are lots of work folks on the move and food/etc. For several years now we've been happily staying in quieter St. Paul instead of Minneapolis when coming to visit friends and family in TC.

Nice hotel. Greeted by polite efficient staff. got booked in, lugged all my stuff to the second floor and the keys didn't work. I left my luggage up there and went back to the desk, got it fixed. Room is nice and clean. the walls are a bit thin. gentlemen next door was on the phone slot, assuming since I only heard one person talking. couldn't make out the conversation except for the F bombs and S word he used a lot. now I can cuss with the best of them and this did not offend me, but I can see others finding this horrible, especially if you have small children. I went to bed and I couldn't figure out how to get the curtains to be dark. the brown ones didn't move. so I tried to go to bed, but i pretended like I was in Alaska where its sunny for 6 months, I guess that gives me a reason why I live in Iowa. so I got some ingenuity and got out a spare blanket. which by the way is like sand paper, and the hangers with clips and created a makeshift room darkening blind. Then when they came to clean the room, they pulled the actual blinds that were hidden behind the sheers. now I feel really stupid! The breakfast was pretty decent eggs, sausage, pancakes, and everything else you would find on a continental breakfast. I just wish it started before 630. I work at 6, so I didnt utilize the breakfast much. I didn't take advantage of the pool or the exercise room. overall it was a good experience. i just hope they give me extra points for going green the one day. I'd stay there again, especially now that i know how to run the curtains. they have a restaurant that is attached to the hotel, but i dont think is affiliated, it was ok, but it was so convenient. Parking out front was not a problem. i was there monday to thursday.

This hotel is centrally located so that you can walk or bike anywhere you need to go. The spaces are beautiful and the restorataions were done with care and attention. We stayed here for a weekend getaway, and thoroughly enjoyed the space, the shower, the bar, and overall charming vibe of the hotel. Such a treasure right in the middle of St. Paul.

Front desk help was helpful for the most part. One red-headed female receptionist was not friendly and acted annoyed if u asked for something, but that was the exception to the rule. Food was excellent, nice pool and hot tub, housekeeping did a great job. Very nice place.
