Our suite was very comfortable with a living room to relax in before bed. In a very nice neighborhood, we had no problem finding parking in front of the Inn. We were given several options for breakfast and the meal was excellent. We had several hours to kill between checkout and a wedding we were attending. Kevin very graciously allowed us to hang out in the parlor as long as we wished, which was very much appreciated. The property itself was beautiful and furnished with what I would assume was many original fixtures. If you appreciate an upscale B&B experience, I would highly recommend this property.

We've stayed in many B&Bs and this is one of the better ones. The property was spotlessly clean. The beds and pillow were super comfy with "comphy" bed linens. Kevin made us feel comfortable and was the chef extraordinaire with giving us a choice of 3 delicious entrees each morning. Make certain you book through his website and not a third party booking agency.

We rented the entire house and carriage house for 8 family members for Thanksgiving. We have rented several previous Airbnb in the past and they were all fine, but this place is special. Having grown up in St Paul, I have always enjoyed the Ramsey Hill neighborhood with its beautiful large older homes with stained glass windows, exquisite woodwork, fireplaces, high ceilings, and large rooms. This home did not disappoint. The rooms were well equipped, plentiful amenities including refridgerators in every room, en suite bathrooms, amazingly well stocked kitchen, free bottled water, sodas, juices, popcorn, crackers, coffee, tea, and plenty of extra towels and bathroom amenities. the beds are comfortable with high end mattresses. the shared space on the first floor has plenty of rooms, games, music system, and access to the 2 rear parking spaces, although street parking is plentiful. The neighborhood is full of good restaurants, cofee shops, bakeries, and is less than a mile from downtown, and has 3 minute access to the freeway. Maybe the best thing was dealing with the owner Kevin. He was very responsive, informative, helpful, and generous (he let one party stay an extra night wiht no charge). This will be my go to place in the future. While it is not a bargain, the quality of the experience was well worth the spend.

We have stayed at the Historic District B&B on several occasions during different times of the year. One winter, we were delighted to watch the snow fall with an historic home in the background. One spring the enormous tree-sized lilac bushes were overwhelmingly beautiful. We have stayed in a number of rooms and each has its own character but all are furnished with period antiques. I have never experienced an uncomfortable bed and the bathrooms are spacious and spotless. Kevin owns the Inn and is a wonderful host. He has answered our questions about the history of the area and has offered directions and suggestions. His forte is cooking and his breakfasts are outstanding. I like his sweet omelettes and my partner the savory. Homemade muffins are the best in St Paul. If you’re looking for a gracious, attractive historic B&B with a delicious breakfast included, you can’t do better than the Historic District Inn

This is a beautiful historic home with comfortable furnishings. The food was plentiful and truly delicious but the best part of the stay was talking with Kevin. He’s a talented chef and a darn nice guy. We felt like we were staying with friends.

The house and host were AMAZING! 🤩 This historic house was situated in a lovely old neighborhood in St. Paul and lined with large trees with beautiful fall colours, the house was very 1920’s-ish, Great Gatsby era feel! Gorgeous furniture and had a common room with books, games and movies guests could enjoy (if time allowed). The host, Kevin, was very welcoming and outgoing- chatted with us through our two breakfast mornings. The food was delicious and there was also a complimentary snack bar! The room was nicely decorated, but the bathroom mirror was too low. There were two parking spots at the back of the house and it was quite close to the Excel Energy Centre and within walking distance of many restaurants! We would definitely return and recommend this B&B to our friends and other family members! 😃👍👍

The B&B was phenomenal! Kevin is a spectacular host and chef. The accommodations go above and beyond any and all expectations. Kevin ensures the guests have options for evening beverages (sodas, water, etc.) as well as coffee options without leaving the second floor. The comfort I had staying there alone was instant and enjoyable. This is a great walkable neighborhood close to so many amenities.

My partner and I loved our stay at Historic District B&B. Neither of us intended to choose a B&B when planning our first trip to the Twin Cities, but we are so grateful we did! Kevin restores the glory of Bed and Breakfast charm and comfort, and the reviews accurately reflect how delicious the breakfasts are. But I want to add that Kevin's love for what he does is what makes this home a must for your next (or first) trip to St Paul. You see his joy in the details: the snack station in the hallway, the decor, his prompt replies to questions, and the warm reception to our arrival at breakfast. If you've never stayed at a real B&B or want to feel at home away from home, consider reserving your stay here. Parking was always available, and the house is in a lovely neighborhood with several restaurants within walking distance. We will definitely stay at Historic District B&B for our next trip to St Paul.
