We have just spend 4 fabulous nights in this classic British seaside hotel. We booked very last minute and from the initial telephone booking and throughout our stay we had friendly first class service. We have stayed here twice before, the last time over 5 years ago. Nothing has really changed apart from the new owners! Paul Ainsworth and his great team have taken on this hotel and I think they will turn this hidden gem into the crowning glory of Rock. The hotel is classic seaside chic, beautiful gardens and stunning views. The rooms are simply furnished and are in need of an upgrade, but it really doesn’t matter as the staff, excellent food and stunning location more than make up for it. The communal areas are very well maintained and beautiful art is displayed which is available to buy. We stayed with our two toy poodles and they where made so welcome, we never felt like we needed to hide them away, they where provided with lovely beds, towels and treats and all the staff made a huge fuss of them. I treated myself to a facial/massage in the tiny Elemis spa, and it was lovely. I would definitely recommend trying it. The breakfast and evening meals were outstanding, we could not fault them at all. I’d say go soon as once Paul starts to upgrade the hotel it’s going to be sold out!

The new addition to the Paul Ainsworth Collection. Nestled in a breathtakingly beautiful spot overlooking the Camel Estuary and Rock, a boutique hotel that exudes luxury and exclusivity. From the moment you arrive and take in the surroundings and location, it's like being transported to another country. Is this really England? Admittedly the glorious sunshine does help. Once checked-in,we were shown to our room. We had our doggies with us and beds were provided for them too. Air con in the as well, which was needed this visit. Breakfast both mornings on the outside terrace which overlooks the swimming pool. You can help yourself to the continental inside and order hot food from the kitchen. The full cornish was superb, dare we say, one of the best breakfasts we have had in a while. We had one of the most memorable experience's of a lifetime and want the thank Paul and his whole team for making it such a very special Birthday celebration. The service, and hospitality are outstanding. This is destined to be one of Cornwall's premier seaside-chic boutique hotels.

St Enedoc has been our place to spent quality time together with our much loved Standard Poodles. On our return to the hotel we always have been so welcomed by Helen . A true Joy !! Sharon in the restaurant gave us a warm welcome and the food was simply delicious. Well recommended to try . We took Mathilda to try area on the restaurant where Dogs are welcome. I tried The Spa with Nardia whose expert knowledge and treatments are available and excellent , worth checking out ! Our room was on the second floor looking out of the Estuary and very peaceful. We can’t recommend St Enedoc enough. We met Paul the new manager who was welcoming and helpful. Pau & Emma Ainsworth are the new owners of St Enedoc who without doubt have brought a wonderful new energy.. It’s going to even more exciting with the 2025

I have been staying at the St Enodoc for many many years - but this trip surpassed all previous visits in the past 25 years. I am always nervous of eating every meal in the same hotel - but wild horses couldn’t have dragged me away from eating in the Brasserie. Every night was a different feast - standouts the scallops, the honey bread, the mackerel Caesar salad, the lamb ragu and the chocolate mousse which is worth the drive down from London alone. The hotel is under new ownership and I wish them huge success - this jewel in Rock deserves only the best - and I think they have found it!

We stayed at the St Enodoc Hotel in Rock for three nights. I was very relieved on arrival, now that my mobility is slightly limited, to find that I did not to have to climb those steep steps at the front of the hotel. Instead, we were able to park at the back door where there was a space to unload luggage and a very pleasant young lady from Reception appeared and kindly carried our bags up the short (and manageable for me) flight of stairs to our room. The hotel has a modern luxury seaside vibe and our room was bright and airy and clean, The bathroom was a good size with plenty of surface area for our washbags and a generous selection of luxury toiletries was provided. In the bedroom the window sill was conveniently low enough for us to sit and look at the view whilst having our complementary coffee and biscuits after a day out exploring the area. Unfortunately there was only one chair so one of us had to sit on the bed. Even so the room was comfortable and I was pleased to see that the wardrobe contained some conventional wooden hangers, not those awkward anti-theft ones on security rings that you get in most hotels these days. And no, we didn’t nick any! The Brasserie was a lovely space to dine, and so well designed that wherever your table is situated you still get a good view of the garden and scenery beyond. On the first evening we had the lemon sole with brown shrimps and Sauce Jacqueline - it was delicious; and my dessert of Vanilla Panna Cotta with strawberries and elderflower was divine. Service was very friendly and knowledgable. All in all a lovely mini break. We were sorry to leave.

We took advantage of a special off-season offer, and spent three nights here for the price of two. On the whole we enjoyed ourselves. The public areas were clean, comfortable and well-decorated in an appropriate seasidey way. But our room (on the first floor, with a view of the Camel Estuary) was decidedly on the cosy side. There was space for only a single chair (an nicely upholstered, straight-backed dining chair), meaning that if we wanted to sit together and enjoy the outlook, one of us had to perch on the bed. Of course one expects to pay for a view; but had we committed to the full price for three nights, we should have left feeling aggrieved, if not ripped off. And perhaps someone could invest less than a couple of quid in coat hooks for the back of the door. The cuisine was excellent. Nothing is to be gained by rehearsing the contentious question of music in a restaurant. I will say only that a background of unrelenting thrashing (on a short loop, and however supposedly subdued) is incompatible with the tranquil view which is a major attraction of the Brasserie. If music is essential, something a little more restful and neutral (modern or classical, or something in between) would surely be more appropriate. I also wonder why, at breakfast, arrivals have to be seated at adjacent tables, when there are plenty of others unoccupied. To avoid being overheard, we had to reduce our conversation to a subdued murmur. Perhaps the management want their guests to socialise, but some guests might want otherwise.

Went for lunch with the family and couldn’t recommend more! Beautiful setting, the food was unbelievable and the service was amazing! Claire and the front of house team were great, nothing was too much to ask. Will definitely be returning! 10/10.

We absolutely loved this hotel from the moment we walked in. Every single member of staff we came across were so lovely, friendly, professional and welcoming. Our room was perfect with a beautiful view over the estuary, we were upgraded as it was our 25th wedding anniversary which was fantastic. The breakfast was lovely and we also ate in the restaurant which was also lovely. Thank you for a wonderful stay and for making our anniversary one to remember, if only we could have stayed longer One thing my husband did say is there really needs to be an instruction sheet for the car chargers as if it wasn’t for another guest he wouldn’t have had a clue what to do
