Have eaten/stayed at the Tresanton 20+ times over 60 years, and the food remains well considered, executed and delicious but…..the service is sloppy and 3*. We booked 6 months ahead but were given a table at the back of the terrace rather than the sea view. A girl with Asian heritage who showed us to our table was smiley and very attentive, but sadly we didn’t see her again. Her replacement was a tall boy with a mop of hair & glasses who spoke barely comprehensible English, repeatedly spilt the wine, and after we had ordered the most expensive item on the menu, a lobster/mixed fish soup/stew, and a moules marinière, neither came with the necessary spoon. There were 3 mistakes on the bill.

Best crab sandwiches money can buy. Fabulous staff, especially incredible Stephen (who will be running the show in the very near future). Arrived by ferry from Falmouth. Highly recommend a visit and hope to return. The hotel is immaculate too.

My two nights at Hotel Tresanton were the highlight of a recent solo trip to Devon and Cornwall. Impossible to find fault with any aspect of my stay and my very high expectations were either met or exceeded. The Forte family know the hospitality business inside out and it is clear that Olga Polizzi runs a very tight ship at Tresanton - arguably the jewel in the Polizzi Collection. Her team of staff are very well drilled and are friendly, helpful and highly competent. They are well trained and clearly buy in to the high standards that Polizzi sets. To stay at Tresanton is an effortless, joyful experience that is well worth the expense.

I recently visited Hotel Tresanton with friends for drinks and was warmly welcomed onto the terrace. The setting was elegant, the ambiance relaxed, and the service impeccable. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience and a lovely place to spend time with good company.

Continually high standard of cooking and presentation here. Fabulous views of he harbour and friendly and attentive service. Relatively short but excellent menu. If the weather is good sitting outside is a great way to spend an afternoon - but watch for the seagulls!

We had a lovely lunch at this hotel on Tuesday, the food was excellent, so we decided to come again for an evening meal on the Thursday. We were greeted by Emma, who was so welcoming and friendly and took the time to speak with us. This hotel enjoys a beautiful setting and I would recommend a visit.

Another fabulous Easter break at this hotel. We stayed for four nights over Easter weekend and got the usual high standard of incredibly friendly service. The restaurant and terrace were wonderful experiences as ever. It is simply so relaxing to stay here. Everyone is made to feel like a regular guest which you will soon become.
