Hotel Tresanton

Our stay was perfect from beginning to end. Such professional and friendly staff, from the reception to the valets, to the housekeeping, to the waiting staff, and of course the chefs and their team. The food was superb and the hotel was spotless throughout. We would certainly love to come back and will recommend Tresanton to everyone. They say that everything stems from the top, well, whoever who is in charge of team Tresanton, you have certainly doing an excellent job. Many thanks to all the staff

We had a fantastic three night stay at the Tresanton. Particularly loved our large sea view terrace as well as having our breakfast on the hotel restaurant terrace. Very comfortable room. We had a delicious meal in the restaurant on our first night and were treated with a half bottle of champagne in our room afterwards to celebrate our wedding anniversary which was wonderful. The beach below the hotel is fantastic for swimming and we took the Place ferry over the water one day for a long walk around the beautiful St Anthony headland. There is a lovely pub in St Mawes- the Rising Sun- and the Watch House fish and chip restaurant is also fantastic.

Great location mediocre hotel experience. We expected more. Most of the staff were friendly and well mannered, some spent lots of time with their favourite guests and no one else. The rooms were nice, beds very comfortable and fantastic views. Drinks very expensive and they will add service charge on your bill if you let them.

We loved the location, ambience, decor, cleanliness, service, friendliness, food quality and ... drinks on the terrace. What did we not like? Absolutely nothing! I would even say for the quality of the experience this hotel represents value for money. One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Close to perfect. Thank you Tresanton.

Where to start - my new favourite hotel bar none. We stayed overnight in room 7 on a dinner bed and breakfast package and it was worth every penny. A traditional English hotel in some respects but with a slightly more modern twist. Rooms superbly furnished with some accent pieces in beautiful pastel shades, wonderful view of the bay and the azure sea. Great bedding and the comfiest pillows. Tea and coffee is a request option but the tray that arrived promptly had everything you need. Dinner and breakfast were both amongst the best I have experienced with a hot breakfast table service over and above the buffet, no individual packaged croissants to be seen here!!! BUT the 2 standouts for me - the service and the cocktails on the terrace looking out over the bay. How to summarise these 2? Well sipping an excellent Manhattan or a glass of Rose with book on the terrace was just my idea of heaven, instantly relaxing. The service, well there was not a single staff member who didnt go above and beyond to make you feel special, stop for a chat or check if they could do anything from the porters, to front desk, to waiters / waitresses all just perfect. The proof of the pudding, well I didnt want to leave and cant wait to go back, but next time for longer! If you need to unwind then go to this hotel, dump the car outside and your baggage will arrive in your room and you car will be parked all while you enjoy that drink on the terrace.

Excellent staff very helpful and a lovely hotel,beautiful views,lovely ice cream,extremely clean and refreshing,lovely decor,set in a great location,great shops close by and lots of water sports,boating and kayaking etc on the door step.
