Horrible stay and experience. The conditions ade really bad and it is not cleaned at all. The bedrooms are a joke, you barely have soave for your luggage. This is at best a 3star stay. The sofas and the living room are miserable, the bathrooms smell and are really bad cleaned

The best location in Val Thorens for family and friends. Definitely ski in and ski out. Everything you need for a great ski holiday on your doorstep. From the shop, to ski hire, to restaurants. And after skiing there is the relaxing Spa to end the day.

I was here with my daughter her boyfriend and my son. The apartment was fine really was it’s a ski resort and have stopped in some really small places but this was fine all was clean , warm and had all what we needed. Then the half board all we can say is WOW it was bloody brilliant. The service, the food was excellent. We were always informed of what our evening meal consisted of and the staff and service was excellent. We were going on the Friday out for a meal ( my birthday present from my kids ) somewhere else but we all agreed to stop as the food was excellent. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful The facilities of the spa were great ( yes it gets busy after skiing) but that’s to be expected. The ski room lower down was great , heated and big enough for all four skis , boots and trainers. The ski in ski out is fine ………..out is really easy but the ski in can be a bit tricky on one slope but lower down is easier but needs a bit of a walk up to hill So, overall the accommodation (having skied for over 40 years ) was really really good you can always find faults but believe you me I’ve stopped is some really dire places but for sure this was excellent even my son 33 and my daughter 30 really said it was great Overhaul a great hotel and great resort I hope this helps people as I constantly look at reviews of where I’m wanting to go and always look at the positives and the negatives and understand these days people prefer to complain rather than complement ( that’s just how people are these days) Many thanks all the staff you delivered and we had a great ski holiday!!!!!!!

Great location at the top of Val Thorens with views over town and of the valley. Good sized apartments and brilliant facilities with the spa and pool. Staff super helpful and ski hire etc all on site. Ski in and out if you are okay with a short steep mogul section on the way home. We love these apartments and it is hard to find anywhere with better location and facilities for the price. Great for two families sharing.

Really bad service! We cleaned our room wanted to go away the hotel stopped us from going bec we needed to put 1 towel in a different place… the cleaners did not want to move 1 towel so we needed to go back to our room. The room also smelled like poop, we told the hotel and they dit nothing about it! Also the person working at the spa was not nice! Got kicked out bec i was wearing swim trunks… Like everyone else in the spa. Really weird. The view was nice. 1,5 stars.

Too many lads partying! Music off the balcony until 3am, pushing around in the pool - all of this, all week! No one from the hotel doing anything... Could be really nice with some proper management... Don't expect to get much sleep unless thats what you're into...

We have just returned from a family ski holiday (5 adults 2 children ) we had a 8-10 person room , duplex style. On arriving we were met by a very abrupt young man whose only focus was to take a deposit of 600 euro and hand us our keys before ushering us out of the door to find our room. We asked about where to get food as it was late and he sent us to the wrong restaurant. We located our rooms dropped our bags and looked for the restaurant ourselves offering half board food. The half board restaurant was great and the staff super friendly , food was good however lacking if you are vegetarian or vegan. Breakfast was plentiful however scrambled eggs and bacon the only hot items, plenty of cereals, breads and drinks available. The rest of our stay the staff were all excellent it’s shame the First Gentleman had no customer service skills. The apartment was spacious and HOT , showers were good and kitchen had everything you would need to cook meals. Like others have said they are tired and need updating, I do think they are cleaned well by the staff however just very tired. The Spa area is great however it does get busy, although you would expect this in such a large complex. Loved the sauna, jacuzzi and ice shower though. One big negative on our trip was the amount of times the lift didn’t work, the stairs up and down to the boot room and ski out are round steep and dangerous when wearing ski boots. Talking to other guests a lot of people of different nationalities felt the same and I would imagine not go back. It’s a long walk up and down stairs after a great day skiing. I do hope the management team look at the lift service, it’s truly a hazard and I’m sure accidents will happen.

We were staying New Year week. Not sure where to start…..The apartment was dirty, tired and well used. The electric wasn’t working in one bedroom, the bath was broken. The bathrooms smelt of drains. The tap in the kitchen also kept falling apart. The stairs down to the bedrooms were a hazard as very steep and with fraying carpet. The bedroom door on the kitchen level couldn’t be closed. We could go on … we also requested a high chair and travel cot for our Grand Daughter, which was confirmed when we made the booking, had to chase for these. We finally got the cot by 7pm. We did complain at reception, the lady was very understanding and apologised for the problems. They did send a maintenance guy up who was there for a couple of hours.. tap still wasn’t fixed. Apparently reception confirmed that not all apartments have been renovated and the rest are yet to be done, but they are charging the same price…..we were staying in the 8-10 superior 4 bed apartment, it had no view and you couldn’t even go onto the balcony as the snow was deep and completely frozen. It would help when booking these apartments that there was some pricing structure, ie you pay more the view, if it’s been renovated etc. The spa was so busy early evening, it was hard for the staff to keep clean….i wouldn’t recommend these apartments as they are at the moment. If you get a renovated apartment with view then great, as this is what is advertise but if you don’t then you’re paying for a substandard awful apartment. Such a shame as this was our first family ski holiday and we certainly didn’t get the apartment as advertised.

We stayed in one of the larger apartments in Les Balcons for the Christmas holiday. We chose this place for the number of bedrooms and price, but i don’t think we got what we paid for. The apartments have so much potential to be really nice, but the maintenance on these places is really lacking. Upon arrival, the dust bunnies from under the bed were literally jumping up and down, multiple showers had drainage issues and one shower head just didn’t stay in place. We contacted the front desk and nothing was done, which was generally the experience from the front desk staff - apathy. We asked 3 times for a maintenance person to come, and only on the third time did they actually send someone. The maintenance person was super friendly and nice, but first you have to get the attention of the reception staff, which is not so easy. We were not told the location of our ski room, so we also spent a good 20 minutes trudging around with our skis and boots, with two kids in tow no less, using the most antiquated lift, to no avail. Finally we were told it was just down the hall from our room. We were also given a key that did not work for our apartment. When we alerted the front desk, the reaction was, “Well did you try the key?”. Of course we tried the key… I would not bother going to the front desk if it was working. They gave us the correct key, but the poor attitude and apathy of the front desk staff really left a bad taste in my mouth. The pool and spa area was nice, but I was super confused why the showers only had freezing cold water. I find that a deterrent for getting people to shower before entering the pool and hot tubs. I’m not sure I would stay here again or would I recommend it if in Val Thorens. I am sure there are better places for the price you pay. They should use the money for some needed basic maintenance in order to restore the apartments to a basic level of decency.
