The location was good , direct exit on slope, each room with private bath. Nice location. The bed were comfy but the wind is hearing very loud in each part of the room and is hard to sleep. The wc is too high as you can not touch the floor when we sit on it :) and is not so comfy.

A spacious apartment. Every room has its own bathroom. Ski in and out directly on the Plein Sud slope. After a day of skiing you have the possibility to relax in the hamam, sauna or swimming pool. Shops and restaurants are on a walking distance. All in all we had a nice week, and will certainly consider this apartment again if we ever visit Val Thorens again.

For a ski holiday, the most important thing for me and my family is being closed to the slopes and ski directly out from the hotel which we could experience in Village Montana Plein Sud. My son had fun watching the skiers, snow groomers while sitting in the living room. We were closed to a supermarket where we coul buy crispy croissants for breakfast. With a 10 minute walk we could reach the city centre.

Long post for The Residence Plein Sud of the hotel group, Village Montana Group in Val Thorens. I’m typing this post as I remember bits, so apologies if it doesn’t seem to be in order! We travelled 12th January 2024 for a week as a family of four - 2 adults and 2 young children - with TUI Crystal Ski. This being our first family ski holiday! We booked the two bed apartment, it was wonderful and spacious, the hotel appeared to be for us, in a great location. From having read the reviews prior to booking, we understood that the ski out was not for complete beginners, this was a steep blue run. My husband is an experienced skier but myself and children had never stepped into skis so we did have ski lessons at our local UK dry slope centre over the course of several months, also booked private lessons during the holiday with a great ski instructor - Nicola Piva, lessons can be booked through his web site. Following lesson day one my children were able to ski out and down to the main resort centre, I on the other hand carried my skis and walked the slope towards the main area which took me no longer than 5 minutes. I wasn’t the only person doing this!! However, I finally found my confidence and managed to ski the blue slope on return to the hotel on the last day!! Otherwise it’s either a steep walk back up to the hotel or you can return by walking up a small path to the side of the Village Montana Premier and walking 5 minutes to the hotel along the road. From the bottom of our ski out slope, you’re only a couple of metres from the first magic carpet (there are 3) and nursery slopes with a huge open space for practicing. Not many green runs as I would like but I wasn’t in the position to complain seeing as I’m a newbie, I grew with confidence and towards the end of our holiday we knew what type of resort to look for going forward - because this holiday won me over!! Great hotel Ski lockers, allocated by room number. No issues. The apartment was wonderful, with a well equipped kitchen that met our needs with a large fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, espresso machine (buy your own pods), dishwasher, oven and an electric ceramic hob. A small bag of dishwasher tablets, washing liquid, cloth and sponge are provided to get you through first couple of days. A great little supermarket (8 à Huit) is located within a two minute walk from hotel, alternatively there is a SPAR which is a 10-15min walk. The apartment had a powerful heating system, extremely comfy beds. We were based on the ground floor right next to the stairs and lift, we did have some noise but not enough to disturb us too much. It’s true when pple say it’s the best sleep you get after a day of skiing, we were shattered so a little noise didn’t bother us, besides, the hotel guests were not the rowdy type. Adequate TV channels, we mainly chose the radio stations as background noise, option to play DVDs but don’t bother due to country licensing. In all honesty, TV was ha

Second time staying here .. first time I didn’t ski .. this time I can ski but still a beginner.. the ski in and out is not beginner friendly .. You are straight out onto a very busy blue run .. I walked down and back up 😅 bit scary going up .. basically walking the wrong way up a busy motorway and hard work 🥵🤣…. Apart from that lovely two bed apartment.. very comfortable.. kitchen well equipped.. reception staff very friendly.. spa area is small but that was never an issue .. amazing after a days skiing ⛷️🏂⛷️ if your stopping in bring DVD’s as no Uk channels .. all French apart from sky news

Excellent direct piste access in and out (not recommended for complete beginners though), straight from ski locker room. Spacious apartments for ski apartments, very comfortable beds and not too much noise transfer from other apartments. Staff very welcoming and helpful if needed. Kitchen reasonably well equipped, microwave, oven, dishwasher, large fridge (small freezer), kettle, toaster, nespresso machine. Washing up equipment and some bin bags, dishwasher tablets provided. Best to bring your own sharp knife. Small supermarket a 2 minute walk away. Pool and steam/sauna area small but welcome at the end of the day, but can be taken over by large groups so might need to pick your time.

This is a high end apartment. We had a good stay but it did not fit, in our opinion that level of service. We had missing kitchen equipment ( just basic things) and broken bin and light on arrival. I would have thought these things should be checked given the quality suggested by Montana group for this residence. We asked for towels to be changed mid wek ( advertised as an apartment servcie). They changed only two of four quite inexplicably. None of this really affected our stay and we enjoyed the great slope access but it suggested a lack of 5* care and attention to us in comparison to the price and offer.
