Just shocking level of service. Inexperienced junior staff mostly not speaking English. When complaining some staff became snappish. Reception Telephone hardly answered. No concierge service - zero help whatsoever booking ski lessons and transfer. Unable to book us the right ski lessons in six weeks which took me five minutes to do myself. Unable to book us a transfer, forms that had to be filled out were lost and emails weren’t answered. Ultimately booked my own. For return transfer tried at the hotel in person. Again took three days before they got it done but then booked it to the wrong airport which we luckily double checked with the driver! Rooms nice but housekeeping not up to the job: tea bags and cups not refilled / changed. Toilet paper / tissues only refilled upon asking. No WiFi in rooms! Restaurant - service insufficient in main restaurant: food not arriving at same time (part of the group often received meals 10-20m before others. Sides not arriving. Any special request typically ignored. A half finished wine bottle we asked to have stored got lost. The two special restaurants instead had good service. Complimentary shuttle service - mainly due to reception not speaking English drivers been sent to wrong addresses four out of six times we used the service. Twice waited 25m in the cold with kids. When calling several times been once told in a very insolent way that I wasn’t at the right place !

All good except no English tv, only BBC news channel. If planning a tv night in tv is not smart, does not connect to internet and can’t even chromcast, no Netflix either so not great if wanting a bit of English tv. Bit disappointing at these prices.

Nice location with top views. Very good suites and really top service at the Ski Shop. But the service at the reception and restaurant leaves much to be desired. To check into a room, even if you arrived after 16:00, you need to wait at least half an hour. The service at breakfast is very poor, you need to wait 20 minutes for hot dishes and coffee.

Great place, excellent views and location. Apartments good size, kitchen well equipped. We used the kitchen for cooking lunch and most dinners. Nice ski room, with boot dryers! Ski rental personnel were very friendly and helpful.

The hotel is marketed as a 5-star luxury property, primarily due to its ski activities and prime location. While the rooms are cozy and the food is good, the service does not consistently match the hotel's 5-star rating. It's not that you won't be treated well, but if you're someone who pays attention to detail, you may find the service in the dining and bar areas lacking. Additionally, the breakfast, though decent, falls short of luxury standards and could use an upgrade. My family has stayed at this hotel three times and will likely return, largely because there aren't many alternatives in Val Thorens at this level. However, during our last visit, we opted for breakfast only, having grown tired of the repetitive dinner menus and inconsistent service in the main restaurant. On a positive note, we only dined at the main restaurant due to our young daughter, and I believe the other restaurants within the hotel may offer a higher level of service. It's also worth mentioning that not all staff members are lacking in competence. After three visits, it's clear that the hotel struggles to find high-quality staff for the entire ski season. However, given the high prices, guests should not have to contend with these staffing issues.

I was there in the final week of the season, with the Residence mostly full, the hotel section closed, and minimal staff (Pierre really was our knight in shining armour), but the experience was still excellent. We were looked after extremely well, and the room, facilities, and pastry deliveries were all first class. The only small down side was the children dive-bombing in the pool. Still highly recommended!

This place does not disappoint, 5 star all the way through, ski in ski out. Pierre looked after us very well, nothing was too much trouble. Bread and croissants delivered to our door every morning. Great location. Very clean throughout. Pleasant staff.
