Embassy Suites by Hilton St. Louis Downtown

Nice stay in downtown St Louis. We chose this property for the location to the Arch, Interstate, pool, breakfast, and all suite option. Pros. 1. On arrival the staff were very helpful. This was primarily the valet guys and front desk staff 2. The hallways are very clean and quiet with plenty of light. 3. The rooms are some of the best I’ve seen at embassy suites around the country. 4. Location is within a short walk to the Arch and the convention center is basically out the door. 5. Bed was very comfortable Cons. 1. Cleanliness… Though the rooms were incredibly spacious, they were not the cleanest. The counters had crumbs all over them, the couches had numerous stains, the carpet looked like it hasn’t been deep cleaned in sometime, and there were hairs in the shower. That was just the room. 2. Pool area was a complete bust. It’s tiny and shallow. The bathroom doors don’t even work in that area. The liner is coming undone and is gnarly. 3. Commons area furniture is ready to be tossed. 4. Public restrooms are filthy and smell. 5. Parking for $50 in St Louis? Come on you can do better than that. The Hyatt right next to the arch is $30 for self and $40 for valet.

Hotel is pretty good. Staff is pretty bad. Pretty ok place to sleep. Good breakfast. The hotel is about as meh as meh can be.

Replace the cheap cups from polystyrene for coffee and for use in the bathroom with real glass cups.

The King suite with sofa bed is a very large size. The breakfast staff were all amazing, and this is the best “breakfast included” hotel option I have ever had! The pool is only 3 feet deep and very small, also very “echo-y,” making it unbearably loud with more than a couple children swimming. They also ran out of towels both days we stayed. Valet parking is convenient, but at check in, it is a very small, poorly marked area, leading to confusion, congestion and having to go around the block to figure it out.

We would like to commend Tera. She worked the happy hour and even though she had long lines waiting for a drink, she greeted everyone cheerfully and kindly! She was a joy and is very much an asset to Embassy Suites!

Staff is amazing! Valet is a wonderful option. So convenient. Breakfast and wind down evening drinks and snacks were wonderdul. I didn't love the pillows on the bed or the bed. Lacked some comfort.
