In many ways the hoitel is better than the overall score I have given it. The main reasons for the low score: 1 - Our room on the groundfloor of the annexe had no sound insulation from the room above. ( woken at 1am to listen to loud voices and again at 6.15am. Every footstep above could be heard. 2 - The shower in this room was over a bath. The bath was 'plastic' and moved under my weight. Not what I would have expected in this class of hotel. What's wrong with a walk in shower? However, on the positives: - The staff were great. The Orangerie restaurant served superb food. The pool was great. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The grounds are superb and the ambience is welcoming. A great place to stay if visiting Puy Du Fou.

Beautiful small hotel , very nice room and good restaurant. restaurant staff were very good especially the lady manager. The reception staff were awful , no smile , no welcome , no information about the hotel. The lady that we checked in and out with seemed to take offence in any thing we asked. The guy was better , but when my wife sliced her finger on the room fridge door , I ran down to ask for a plaster , I was told after 10 minutes that there are no plasters in the hotel (strange with 3 working restaurants) and I had to drive to get some . This hotel could be a hidden gem , but customer service needs approving .

Very beautiful and quiet hotel in a beautiful castle in Vendée. The rooms are beautiful and clean. The staff is friendly, the breakfast and dinner are very good. I highly recommend this hotel if you are in this area. The restaurant is very good for dinner.

pas de service groom pour accéder à l'étage sans ascenseur, ménage qui laisse à désirer(trace rouge sur la baignoire(produit d'entretien, peinture, rouge à lèvres ou sang?), trace de moisissure sur la paroi de douche, poussières dans les coins, distributeur de savon liquide bouché), baignoire en plastique qui grince lorsque l'on marche dessus(si on veut juste prendre une douche) que l'on se demande si on ne va pas passer à travers, parquet qui grince tellement que si vous vous levez la nuit vous réveillez votre conjointe , WC tellement exigu qu'il faudrait laisser la porte ouverte pour être à l'aise, minuteur dans ces même WC trop rapide qu'il faut réactiver en permanence, un seul gobelet à dents alors que nous étions deux, parking 1 digne d'un parking de chantier, hôtesse d'accueil en train de se faire son café et de tapoter sur son téléphone alors que notre table de petit-déjeuner prévu n'était pas prête et petit déjeuner banal du niveau d'une chaine d'hôtel 3 étoiles( un seul verre sur la table et pas de présence d'autre verre au buffet, pas de pain complet ou de campagne), femmes de ménage qui reprépare les chambres à 8 heures du matin en parlant fort et en claquant les portes, seuls points positif la climatisation efficace, la literie correcte et le mini réfrigérateur qui refroidit bien . Indigne d'un hôtel 4 étoiles à éviter tant qu'ils ne se sont pas ressaisis donc très cher pour la prestation

Accueil agréable , chambre avec des lampes qui ne fonctionnent pas tout comme le distributeur à savon ( remarque fait et rien n’a été fait en 3 jours 🤬) literie très mauvaise pour dormir à deux Piscine glissante et mal faite , plage qui gondole Creperie réservée et 1 h pour avoir une crêpe , mauvaise de surcroît Chambre loin du château et pas de parapluie à disposition quant il pleut Petit déjeuner beaucoup trop cher pour avoir de la brioche de la veille de surcroît pas faite maison Bref le lieu est beau même si l’entretien des jardins n’était pas au top lors de notre passage. Pas assez de personnel pour la crêperie et avant de mettre ce commentaire. J’ai signalé tous les problèmes à la réception et j’ai eu une réponse laconique. Bref, si vous souhaitez un endroit où vous reposer, et vous passer un bon moment,choisissez un autre endroit

Un moment réussi pour fêter mon anniversaire 🎂🥂 Une décoration contemporaine avec vue sur le jardin et sa terrasse. Le service attentionné et professionnel. N'oublions pas la qualité de la cuisine de produits frais, très bien présenté. Une qualité exceptionnelle pour une addition raisonnable. Une carte des vins 🍷 très généreuse. Réservation conseillée pour profiter de ce magnifique endroit.
