This hotel needs to be moved into the 21st century. The initial view of the hotel from the outside is good, but that’s about all that is good about it. You struggle to find the entrance to Reception, when checking in you are given your room key that doubles up as a weapon thanks to the size and weight of the keyring. The lift was not working so cannot comment on that but the carpet on the stairs has to be at least 30 years old, so thread bare and worn (seen better carpet in derelict properties). The room… well the positive thing is size. It’s bigger than your average hotel room. And that’s it. The bathroom has a bath with shower attachment but no shower head holder or curtain and it is unsafe to stand in the bath. The bath is also only at a guess 1400mm in length. Towels thin small and maybe only a few years newer than the carpets! And to really show its age, a bidet takes centre stage right by the bathroom door. Now on to the beds… I have had better nights sleep in the woods laying on twigs, roots and rocks. The double sagged to the middle and the single mattress was so thin I am sure if you held it up to the window you could see light through it. Breakfast was mediocre at best. Small selection of bread, croissant, cheese and cold meat, a bowl of ice cold hard boiled eggs that had been over cooked. Fruit bowl and small selection of cereal. The coffee was okay out of a machine. So if you fancy a trip back to the 1980’s then this is the hotel for you!

This is probably the first darn honest review this place has had in years. On arrival you’d be forgiven in thinking the place was abandoned - nobody on the desk, no signage or information that would help you find assistance. The hotel clearly lost in the late 70s clean but tired and desperately in need of a make over, eventually found someone working who sorted out our room elevator on takes two your bags will have to take the stairs. Carpets faded and barely hanging on, the room smelled like an old ladies handbag complete with the musty aroma of pee. Yet again clean but older than Moses, now most of this could be forgiven if someone in this place had made the slightest effort by way of a welcome!! There were no facilities to be seen good luck with a brew for a tired traveller, the bed had a mattress so slim It was anorexic and the slats of the bed could be felt through it. I feel bad leaving such a negative review but don’t fall for the tired but charming 80s style that I did - in reality you need a good bed tea and coffee making facilities and a welcome preferably warm. The added delight of this place is the car park floods after heavy rain! we swam to the car feet soaked through as we fled, and yes never to return. I’ve attached a picture of the pool. Sums it up really! I wish I was a dragon from dragons den and buy the place just to put it right. Ps we asked for a refund but the hotel declined, in the end I was relieved as they clearly needed it. Note to the owner don’t open your doors if you can’t extend a welcome and may it be warm.

Maintained but very dated establishment. The carpets in the common areas are no longer carpeted (faded, stained and extremely worn, particularly on the stairs). In the bedroom the "vintage" wall carpet is peeling off in places. The bathroom was repainted, but without much care (significant runs on the tiles. The mattress of the large bed is sagging on one side (packed, "it makes a bowl") and no longer allows you to sleep in the center of the bed. Insufficient soundproofing both between the rooms (Shower, neighbors' toilet) and from the outside (one has the impression that the window is ajar).

I am disappointed with the breakfast to have had pastries out of the shopping center in view of the price of breakfast. And I am disappointed not to have air conditioning in the room, when the temperature is too high it would be necessary impossible to sleep with great heat.

A éviter absolument
