I had an absolutely remarkable experience. From the moment I stepped into the elegant lobby, I was greeted by warm smiles and a genuine sense of hospitality that lasted throughout my entire stay. The ambiance was nothing short of enchanting. The tastefully designed interiors exuded a sense of sophistication and tranquility, creating the perfect atmosphere for relaxation. My room was spacious and was meticulously clean and beautifully appointed. The comfortable bed and luxurious amenities ensured a blissful night's sleep. One aspect that truly set this aparthotel apart was its exceptional staff. Every interaction was met with impeccable service and attention to detail. Furthermore, the aparthotel's facilities were top-notch. The well-equipped gym offered a range of rejuvenating activities, allowing me to unwind and indulge in self-care. In conclusion, my stay was nothing short of extraordinary. Impeccable service, breathtaking surroundings, and attention to detail made it an unforgettable experience. Given the £150 a night pricing and established brand name, I was unhappy to spend a combined 5 hours queuing to speak to front desk RE a pre-booking query - when they finally answered after 90 minutes wait on my 5th attempt I was immediately hung up on. I booked the ”more with your stay” option which includes parking and nothing more. Further issues occurred at check-in when they attempted to charge me £15 for parking anyway. I explained that this wasn't correct, showing them my booking confirmation and explaining that parking was included as I had confirmed pre-booking. Despite confirming that I wouldn't be charged, I was still subsequently charged £15 necessitating a further call back from myself to resolve. The stay itself was comfortable, the hotel, rooms and facilities are nice and fairly well cleaned.

I stayed at the Dragonfly as I was attending a two day work related course in Peterborough. On check in I was asked to leave a £1 refundable deposit on my card - this seemed a little odd as I’d already paid for my room but I agreed. I have not had this deposit refunded - in fact it was taken out of my account five days after I left the hotel. Nothing was broken on my stay. Upon arrival to my room, I noted the faint stagnant smell of old cigarette smoke . I used the bathroom and the hot tap swivelled which I found odd. I was able to use the tap by pressing down hard. I went back to reception to address these issues. The lady advised me they would look into it and get back to me. They didn’t. I found the room I was in (109) was an odd shaped room. The television faced sideways to the bed so made watching television and relaxing in the evening not possible. The double bed I had was in fact two singles pushed together and not of the same height. This made for an uncomfortable night’s sleep. During the night, the room became immensely hot which woke me up. I couldn’t see why as the electric storage heater wasn’t on. The corridor outside was also hot. In the morning, I found the shower door to be stiff and would not close properly. Upon going to dry my hair, there was no plug situated anywhere near the mirror. Being someone with very curly hair who needs to see how they are drying their hair, this was impossible and I had to use the camera on my phone as a mirror. Unfortunately I suffer with food allergies. I spoke to the waiting on lady at breakfast who advised cornflakes were available for myself. Not what I expect having paid £10 for the breakfast. She appeared very put out when I asked her to check with the chef about items on the hot menu. She came back with ‘ the chef doesn’t really know but here is a photo of the hash brown packet’ . I was able to eat either cornflakes or scrambled eggs, mushrooms and tomatoes. Not really acceptable for what I paid. I have contacted the hotel but haven’t heard anything back. It’s a shame this hotel is so outdated- not just in the rooms themselves but with education of allergies for staff and also in their lack of trust for customers when they already have their card details from room paying . It may only be £1 deposit, but every time they don’t refund £1 deposit to 100 people, thats £100 in their pockets for free. This is such a shame as the hotel itself is in a lovely setting.

We stayed at Holiday Inn for 2 nights between May 30 - June 1 2023. Overall the hotel was great and we had a pleasant stay, we had planned to visit the town center and look at the history of Cambridge thus the location was important to us. It was only a short drive (5 mins) to the centre where we could go punting, shopping and to the universities, museums and gardens. We included breakfast in our stay, which I would highly recommend there was a great selection of foods and the pancake machine was a huge win for us. The only thing we were disappointed with was the fact that dressing robes and waters which are usually complimentary in other hotels we have visited, were not included in the room for free and when we asked we were told we could drink the water from the bathroom, which was not pleasant but other factors such as the fact our room was cleaned regularly and the amazing breakfast did make up for this.

The room is very cozy and the location is very good. It is right by the river as soon as you step out. It is also very close to the city. It is a bit troublesome that there is no elevator.

My family have stayed here to visit me many times, and always choose to stay here. Extremely welcoming and friendly team. They always smile, remember our faces and interact with the kids which is brilliant. Special thanks and praise to Charlie who is great and remembered the kids, and always chats 😊 Often, the service industry receive complaints, but the public are less likely to praise. But it is well deserved here. I hope the team receive this feedback. 😊😊

We had a great stay here! The bed is huge, the shower is really nice and the room and facilities are clean and well designed. We would definitely recommend staying here.
