2-Star Hotels in Saint Ignace

We decided to use St. Ignace as a base for trips to Mackinac Island, Mackinaw City, and various spots in the U.P. We chose Cedar Hill based on other reviews and the location. The room was small. The AC was either freezing or warm; it froze up one day and we were left w no AC at all overnight. I understand many places have shortages with staff and housekeeping. If this were the case, I'm fine if the management let's us know. But, our beds were made only once on the second morning, and only after we inquired. Trash was taken out and we got new towels only after we asked. The breakfast was limited. On our second day there, our keys did not work. They gave us new ones at breakfast. Those didnt work. We walked down,and the front desk gave us new ones. We went back, and they still did not work. My husband called and asked to have someone please come up and fix it, and also open our door. The man came up, looked at it. At first he said the code was reading that our deadbolt was on, but we insisted no one was in the room. He then said that he thought the battery was dead. But, he had to go back, as he didn't have the tools to get us into our room! Over 20 more minutes passed until he came back and got us into our room. We were now delayed close to an hour, and missed an appointment we had made on Mackinac Island! I'm sure you get the point...we were disappointed in our stay. Luckily we were not in the rooms much, but bc of the AC, it was often uncomfortable and hard to sleep.

This is a great hotel to stay at. The staff are friendly and helpful. We definitely would stay here again if our travel brings us this way. The rooms are quiet and clean and the room price was very competitive with other hotels in the area. Try it, you will like it.

awesome Hotel , a little bit of a issue for check inn, But the desk clerk Brittney ,handle every thing and got it all straighten out, She put us in a awesome room on the 2nd floor with water view, the room was nice and clean ,beds comfy, everything was great , breakfast , was more then we expected, it was fresh and spot on, the grounds where well kept, the staff was awesome . beautiful scenery from our balcony , would stay there again , Brittney was so great at her job 100% ...

The check-in woman could have been friendlier (she wasn't unfriendly, just not friendly). The best thing about the motel is that it is almost immediately after you turn right on US 2. The motel itself was clean, a bit worn perhaps, with a tiny (by 21st century standards) TV. Check out was easy, just drop your keys in a box. Would I stay here again? Sure, if I'm simply looking for a no-frills experience--a place to sleep and then move on.

The room was perfect for me.....clean, well supplied, easy to access, plenty of available parking, short walk from registration to the room, great view of the lake, friendly and knowledgeable general manager (Denise) and housekeeping staff. Made reservation in September for this October stay..... Hotel was booked for the night so assigned room was certainly appreciated. I stayed at the Quality Lakefront to catch the ferry to Mackinac island for a week. Plan on making my October 2024 reservation at the Quality Inn-Lakefront as well. Looking forward to the visit. My reservation was made thru a 3rd party and I received my receipt from the 3rd party, not the hotel. Thanks, Denise.
