The hotel is set in a beautiful location and was clean, but the property is somewhat dated and less modern than the website photos suggest. Customer service was not good. I booked and paid for a two-night stay six days in advance due to a family emergency. Two days later, I called to ask if I could reduce the stay to one night due to a schedule change. I was told this would be fine if I confirmed by email, which I did immediately. I didn’t receive a reply until the day of my stay, four days later, informing me that a refund was not possible due to a six-day notice policy. As I was travelling from overseas, I didn’t see this until after checking in. No goodwill gesture (such as a room upgrade) was offered, despite the second night being paid for but unused, and the place being very quiet. Requiring six days’ notice for booking changes is unusually strict by French hotel standards, where 24–72 hours is more common. The room had issues. The shower had very low water pressure. The pillows were large and hard, which made sleep uncomfortable. No toiletries were provided except hand soap, which felt insufficient for a €130-per-night rate (not including breakfast). The doors didn’t close properly, the curtains let in significant light, and the building wasn’t locked overnight. In summary, while the location is pleasant and the room clean, the service and amenities did not meet expectations for the price. I would not stay here again or recommend it.
