Very friendly reception and check-in, despite arriving before the check-in desk opened. Everything was very clean, tidy, and nicely decorated in the common area. Warm and dry sleeping accommodations, very reasonably priced. Spartan room furnishings, as usual for a youth hostel. A well-kept garden and a beautiful view. Highly recommended.

St. Gallen Youth Hostel is a small lovely hostel located on the hillside overlooking the entire city. Great panorama. Transportation is convenient: from the train station you can take the tram to Birnbäumen, then walk downhill for about 2-3 minutes. Do visit the Drei Weieren nearby - three small reservoir lakes with stunning views.

We spent 3 nights in a family room (6 people) with WC & Shower. Very friendly welcome, great breakfast and also the dinner on the first evening was perfect. Clean place and ideally located near the city center, with public transport access right outside the door. In addition, we receive a card for free public transport during the stay (valid from St. Gallen to Lake Constance). We enjoyed discovering the city of St. Gallen, cycling tour along Lake Constance, as well as a hike in the Appenzell mountains. Simply magnificent.

Excellent solution not far from the center of St. Gallen. Beautiful structure, well maintained and clean, located just above the town, but easily accessible. Breakfast was also good. Low price by Swiss standards. The only problems are the lack of bathroom in the room and the noise at night (but this does not depend on the structure, obviously).
