We had a fabulous stay at La Maison d'Estournel. Special call out to the attentive staff, everyone from the front desk, bar/restaurant, to the maids was exceptional. The food was by far the best we had on the region, with fresh, local ingredients prepped in innovative fashion. Finally, this is one of the cleanest and best maintained properties we have ever visited. We highly recommend for anyone desiring a quiet, blissful, and enchanting experience among the Bordeaux vineyards.

Our visit to La Maison d’Estournel was simply unforgettable. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, every detail was handled with a level of refinement and kindness that is truly rare to find. The tour of the winery was fascinating—a journey through history, innovation, and a genuine passion for wine. Every sip told the story of the land and the soul of this extraordinary maison. The explanations were engaging and informative, making the experience even more special. Dinner was a true culinary masterpiece, striking a perfect balance between local flavors and creative flair. I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Mr. Hugo, who welcomed us so warmly and pampered us throughout the evening with exceptional care and attention. His presence made the dinner truly unforgettable. Our overnight stay was the perfect conclusion to the day: elegant, peaceful rooms steeped in charm. Waking up to the view of the vineyards is an image we’ll cherish for a long time. A special thank you goes to Elio Gastaldello without him, this experience wouldn’t have been the same. La Maison d’Estournel is not just a place—it’s a sensory and emotional experience that I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone seeking the very best. We will definitely be back!

Everything about this place is top shelf; The staff, the detailed workmanship of the rooms and hotel; the management. Perhaps the dinner menu could be more elaborate, but this is really a special place. Not stuffy at all.

A beautiful hotel, superb restaurant, nice pool, gym and decent rooms. Whilst the rooms could be better for the price, everything else makes up for it. Tried the 2010 vintage of the send wine of d’Estrournel. While pricey, it is excellent indeed.

The hotel is absent of senior front of house management…it’s a lovely property run by young people with limited experience and lack of deluxe detail….they get top prices for the accommodation but lack turn down…lacks size and lacks porterage. Would I stay there again….No….would I eat there again…No. It’s not that it’s awful …..it’s not awful it’s just not good enough for food and hospitality.

One of the best trips we’ve had by far. The accomodation was unique and special and food was magnificent. Hugo made this trip very special for us amd everything was organized with perfection
