Centrally located in Saint Denis, the accommodation provides comfortable, well-maintained rooms and professional, friendly staff. However, guests found the breakfast overpriced and lacking exceptional offerings.

"Villa Angelique" is a charming place in the centre of Saint Denis. The rooms are spacious and clean. The garden is beautifully maintained. The staff is kind and helpful. Monsieur Alain deserves a special mention. Also, there's lots to see close by.

This hotel is beautiful and well managed. I arrived quite early, so my room was not immediately ready, but I was offered a place to sit and a welcome drink. My interest, however, was in exploring the town and the young man at reception was very helpful in helping me to find some of the places I wanted to visit. When I did enter my room, I was amazed at how beautiful it was. It was spacious and luxurious, but it also had character, unlike many chain hotel rooms. The Villa Angelique also is very well located for walking around central St. Denis, an underappreciated town full of charming colonial buildings. All members of the staff were kind and helpful.

We stayed one night in the Villa. Beautiful historic place right in the heart of St-Denis. We showed up very early and could change and freshen up as check in at 2pm. The Villa has various lounge areas, nice breakfast area and room was great. Soft bed, big bathroom, Nespresso machine with cups. Room was clean. Staff very friendly.

This hotel is well situated in the city’s smartest street and has a smart and elegant feel about it. The architecture is typical of Saint Denis’ colonial villas. The bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve slept in for a while. The customer service was mixed depending upon which staff member we interacted with. Unfortunately there were a number of issues during our three night stay. We were allocated a relatively small room with a small window in the corner of the room looking out on to the rubbish bins. The automatic toilet light didn't work. The TV remote was out of battery. The air conditioner made a whirring sound. We complained about the noise and were told by a friendly receptionist that she did not have access to an engineer and all rooms were full but they could move us for the last night of our stay. The new room was above an office in the back of the property and overlooked the kitchen so was clearly noisy and with the only window facing the kitchen it wasn't very private. Sadly, the TV remote in this room also didn’t work either and when we asked the receptionist, we were given a different remote control which also didn't work (no surprise as it was for a different brand than the TV in our room). We asked if we could have some milk to make tea with the provided kettle in the room and were told that they didn't have any and I should go and get it from the Carrefour supermarket around the corner. Disappointingly, I was asked more than six times during our stay if I would like to book breakfast in the morning- not sure how this would have been possible without milk! Altogether, given this was the most expensive hotel in town, our three night stay was marred by the above.
