"Cap Riviera" Hotel & Restaurant Saint Aygulf

Our third stay, in this hotel, the Cap Riviera, in Saint-Aygulf and its restaurant l'Escale, confirms our expectations of achievement announced to us by its General Manager, Jean-Christophe Couvrat, and we note with pleasure, its facilities, such as its continental breakfast counter, which is very well designed, for independent service. We occupied room 22, which has also been redone with exotic wallpaper and furniture. We stayed there for 3 nights from Friday the 16th to Monday March 18, 2024, with 3 breakfasts, 2 dinners and a birthday meal, lunch on Sunday the 17th, for 7 guests. A super chef in the kitchen, Adrien, whose preparations left us speechless in front of so many culinary subtleties. A chef, Greg, very considerate and good advice, who directed us, to accompany this meal, to a fruity white wine and a fleshy red wine, Côtes de Provence, organic, certified since 2009, from the Domaine of the Planes. Many thanks to the Boss for honoring this anniversary with the offer of 7 glasses of champagne. For the cleanliness of the rooms and the common areas, it is Catherine, who is active there, and well. A view as always, breathtaking, of the big blue, in the restaurant room and its balcony-terrace and also from our seafront room. A united team, with a Boss who is very attentive to his needs. clientele and who has the subtle project of opening his establishment for events, around spring, for evenings of musical and dancing entertainment and barbecue evenings. A distribution of these events to its customers is planned.

I made the reservation with advance payment in the morning, informing that I would arrive at 6.00 pm and I immediately received the booking confirmation by email. In the winter season the structure is practically abandoned, in fact upon arrival at the announced time the only usable access was a driveway without an intercom with a single numeric keypad. I had to call the reception number several times, receiving an answer first from a crackling answering machine in French only, then finally from a person who, always and only in French, told me the code to dial. As I entered the car park, the employee who opened the reception arrived after me. After he showed me the room, he informed me that it would not be possible to have breakfast, then showed me the access with the reception closed. Once I've put down my luggage and settled in for a moment, I try to reach the reception to deliver the documents and inform him to prepare the invoice for me the next morning, but it was already closed and the guy had gone away and I didn't see anyone anymore. hotel staff and in the morning at 9.45 I left without seeing anyone and without my invoice. As for the nice but small room, the hot air heating turned on upon entry, the sliding bathroom door 40 cm from the edge of the bed, a tiny empty minibar, thank goodness I had some water with me , two miserable paper cups, two pairs of very small towels, only liquid soap dispensers, one for the sink and one for the shower, no bars of soap, only one chair with a light-coloured cushion full of old stains, white curtains with a black bottom hem of ancient dirt. The television without smart function, the bed very good, the sea view incomparable. I understand that we are in January, but I chose based on what is promised on the site and the excellent opinion of Booking, but if in winter they are not able to keep what is promised it is better that they are only open from Easter to October .

On 04/29 we celebrated our 49th wedding anniversary, at the restaurant of the Escale hotel. A warm welcome, service and a pleasant setting. The menu is at the height of the 3* the chef makes in refinement and freshness. I recommend

This hotel is beachfront with the beach just steps away. It has beautiful sea view rooms with balconies, well furnished and clean. Well working air conditioning. The welcome is courteous. It has a private car park closed at night. The bathroom was renovated but there was little pressure in the shower and therefore some difficulties with hot water. Decent breakfast.

A most pleasant welcome from Brigitte. An interesting geographical location and a breathtaking view from the terrace! The spacious room, equipped with comfortable bedding, sufficient equipment, but a bathroom that deserves more thorough cleaning: traces of excrement in the toilet, post-work concrete dust in the sink, and two pieces mirror lying on the floor... we have no doubt of the exceptional nature of the situation, but it was a disappointment all the same: and no one asks us how the stay was, nor even when returning the key... Special mention at the restaurant: it's delicious, sophisticated, refined. And with the view too... It's a shame that the reservation of a specific table (for the view) is only reserved for friends of the hotel... The sweet and savory breakfast is plentiful and of good quality.

We are cyclists there is a small discount to park the bikes and recharge them, very friendly welcome sea view meal on the terrace and particularly tasty, large rooms for 4 with shared bathrooms very good value for money we highly recommend
