Peace & Plenty Inn Bed and Breakfast Downtown St Augustine-Adults Only

My first review on a place I have never actually stepped foot in. We booked this place for August 1st for a one night get away without the kids. July 30th I was admitted to the hospital and was told I would be there for 2 days for observation so since I had the insurance protection through ******* I canceled. I was eventually discharged a day early and my doctor cleared me to travel. ******* said that the B and B rejected our cancelation request. We called the property but they did not respond. We called ******* and they did a conference call to the property and again no response. Later in the day we called and a woman picked up. We explained that we had Trip insurance and our situation she said "Oh that's only if you get sick here" We requested since we couldn't get a refund if we could just use our original reservation and she replied "Yes but you have to pay an addition 200 plus dollars for the room. Again my wife tried to explain the situation and she hung up my wife. We attempet to call back which they did not pick up. We tried calling from my phone but they did not pick up. We used a phone with a different area code and she picked up. What a horrible buisness. It's a shame for them because my in-laws and another couple were planning to each book 5 day night stays in December, which after this they will not. What a terrible company and terrible way to run a buisness.

At the start of a motorcycle vacation, I wanted to stay near downtown in a clean and comfortable hotel. Peace and Plenty Inn surpassed all my expectations! I felt really welcomed, and the room and service were impeccable. I would happily highly recommend this hotel!

My wife and I stayed two nights in the Harmony suite and had a wonderful time. The owner and staff were warm, attentive, appreciative and guest-focused. The room was very comfortable including a firm mattress ensuring a great sleeping experience. The breakfasts were truly homemade and delicious. The inn itself is in great condition and it’s obvious they will maintain the quality conditions; we highly recommend.

I easily booked our stay at the inn and took my girlfriend (no fiance') for the weekend. St. Augustine is one of our favorite places from our childhoods to adulthood. The attendant was a very helpful and pleasant lady who gave us plenty of helpful instructions and places to visit and eat. The room was lovely and quaint just as we prefer. The location was ideal and within walking distance to all things in the immediate historic district. We had a great time and she said, "yes!" One thing we appreciated about the room was the journal we discovered where guests over the years made little entries. That was very neat!

We stayed in the Aloha room which was wonderful. full kitchen, separate sitting room and a bedroom. Fantastic location with lots of shopping and a variety of eating places including a just opened restaurant in the hotel. Will definitely be returning in the future

The Inn was beautiful, the accomodations lovely and comfortable. The breakfast and gourmet and delicious. We were greeted by friendly staff and owner. The location was perfect, far enough away from any street noise, yet walking distance to the historical area and restaurants. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again.
