The Montague Rose Inn & Cafe

We loved the Montague Rose Inn. The owners were so hospitable and gracious. Our room was spacious and comfortable -also every area -spotless. They made us feel like family. Breakfast in their cafe was superb. It is a short walk to the sea with excellent restaurants and shops as well - very convenient location!!

This is a beautiful B&B in a quiet neighborhood just a few blocks from the waterfront and the Kingsbrae Gardens. The room we had was quite spacious and clean. Unfortunately, the cafe downstairs was closed while we were there, but it looked adorable!

We had a very quick overnight stay in mid September on our way back from PEI. We called at the last moment looking for a room for us and our dog. They were very accommodating to us, we stayed in the last room available, the montage room, which was spacious and very comfortable. There was a small fridge and a luring coffee maker in our room with bottled water and a plate of snacks also available. In the main room downstairs of the inn was also a microwave, if needed. Check in was simple and over the phone, though we did meet Mike. Saint Andrew’s is a lovely town, a wonderful main st and lots of other things to see and do. We only spent the night here but will hopefully comeback to spend a few more nights in the future and would definitely recommend staying here.

A wonderful old bankers mansion built in the mid 19th century. Clean enormous rooms, well appointed and very close to the main street of St. Andrews. The proprietors Ben and Zainub are very helpful in providing all you need at the inn as well as information about the town. That they accept pets was a major plus as we often travel with or lab retriever Beau. He was most welcome at the inn as well as in many places in town. St. Andrews is one of the most dog friendly places we've been to. Two minor drawbacks - the bathroom for our room was separate (in the hallway next door), but was ours exclusively, was spotless and nicely decorated. All other rooms had ensuite bathrooms. Secondly, no breakfast, not a big deal. Coffee was provided in the room which for us, was all we needed. The room also had a fridge - very handy.

Truly the best accommodation we could’ve imagined for our wedding. We rented the entire home for 2 nights, bridesmaids and groomsmen to get ready in, it was perfect. Zainub and Ben are the best host! The Tea Room was a perfect space for all of the bridesmaids to get ready in, and the groomsmen’s had lots of space to use the other shared area, patio, and to play some lawn games. They went above and beyond all of our expectations as hosts and made for a very enjoyable wedding weekend. All of the rooms are gorgeous, lots of space, and very unique! Would highly recommend tk anyone for a weekend away, wedding/event space.

We stayed two nights in this gem of a house. Zainub and Ben were wonderful hosts and made our stay so comfortable. The accommodation was fabulous and the breakfast was delicious. The sight of deer in the garden was amazing. We would highly recommend a stay here if you are visiting the St Andrews area. Paddy & Susan (Ireland).
