Sadly only here for 1 night. Beautiful grounds, our room 602 was on the ground floor facing out onto the gardens, this meant we had the shutters partly closed at all times as the area outside was very busy. Comfortable room with sofa and chair, bed also comfortable, huge bathroom. The lake was available for swimming, canoeing and we even sa a seaplane take off. Breakfast buffet average and don't expect to be served if you want tea! That's DIY!

It’s a funny place, lacking a bit in atmosphere but beautiful setting. Stuff are hit and miss, some great, others less so. The Pavilion room we had was huge but actually not very practical, no hooks, nowhere to hang things. We ended up with wet clothes and it was a struggle to dry them and not even anywhere to hang towels so the room ended up a total mess with things draped everywhere. But it was comfortable and quiet although the window in the room didn’t shut (there was a mosquito shield). That said, I didn’t mention it to reception. Restaurant was good for lunch/dinner, good choice and lovely view over the lake. Breakfast wasn’t great, I found the choice poor, items weren’t restocked, it was fine and we didn’t have a choice but not brilliant. Activities, we went fishing, bear watching, kayaking and played tennis. Would recommend them all.

Overall a very good stay in a beautiful place. To be improved : breakfast quality could be upgraded . Not at the level of dinner . Swimming pool: need to upgrade facility for aged people . We had to assist twice old women who could not get out of the pool alone. A simple addition of handrail could help. Nice staff , all gentles , in particular the manager of the equipment’s rental shop, professional and friendly. I found the landing and taking off of seaplanes right in front , amazing but may be dangerous for the people canoeing around.

Wow, wow, what a stunning location and what a stunning hotel. Great reception team who dealt with us speedily, efficiently and very courteously despite our lack of French. Our bedroom was enormous, two huge beds, dinning table, large settee, well equipped tea coffee machine, fridge. Comfortable beds and pillows with nice linen. The bathroom was huge, stand alone roll top bath, two sinks and a large walk in shower. Towels and toiletries. The breakfasts are to die for, a proper buffet with staff service to sit you and bring anything one wanted. Dinner menu was imaginative and the quality of all the food was excellent. A most memorable stay and a big thank you to all the staff who were unbelievably good

Superb location but lacking in ambiece. Could do with staff who like dealing with people on reception, which is where first impressions count, but dining room servers friendly enough. Breakfast disappointing and dinner not gastronomic, just over ambitious. Lovely lake and countryside helped to make up for deficiences

Great family location. We stayed in a 4 bedroomed cottage. Very peaceful and great location. The centre could do with spending money on more activities or upgrading the current equipment. Tennis rackets not great, bikes need replacing. Swimming pool was very clean and lots of space, not busy. Shame the cottage hasn’t got a washing machine or dishwasher for the size. Having a bigger shop would save going into the local town and bring more money in for the resort.

Que dire sur ce lieu magique et enchanteur ? Voyage de 3 nuits avec mon papa pour faire de la pêche, des randonnées, du buggy, du bateau, de la piscine, etc etc en juin 2024. Hormis l’emplacement magique, le cadre idyllique, les excellents repas, la piscine et son sauna / jacuzzi, la très bonne literie, rien ne saurait tenir debout sans le personnel. Et c’est là que l’auberge du Lac à l’eau Claire dépasse tous ses concurrents directs et indirects: du personnel qui sait de quoi il parle, qui est aimable, accueillant, ça fait toute la différence. Je ne parle même pas de vos équipements qui sont dignes de vos étoiles, vous n’avez pas lésiné sur du bon matériel. Je n’aime pas faire de comparaisons, mais le Sacacomie que vous avons fait sur 2 nuits était bien fade pour ne pas dire autre chose. Si c’était à refaire, nulle doute que nous opterions pour la semaine dans votre établissement. Mille merci, vous avez rendu notre rêve réalité. Il existe encore des gens qui ne font pas que de la vente mais qui ont connaissance de ce que le mot « service commercial » signifie, et bien peu peuvent s’en vanter. Merci Juliette, Virginie, Léa, Gilles et tous ceux dont nous n’avons pas les prénoms.

Tolles Haus, super Angebot wie Kanu, Kajak etc. , die Küche im Haus hat wirklich ALLES, was man sich wünscht. Wir haben einen Abend im Restaurant gegessen. Es war wirklich super, toller Service, sehr feines Essen und ein Ambiente zum Wohlfühlen. Wir waren schon zum zweiten Mal dort und können es nur empfehlen!

Accueil plutôt froid à la réception, la seule préoccupation de la personne a été de noter la référence de notre carte bancaire. Piscine agréable, sauna hammam corrects. Chambre correcte pas top en terme d’insonorisation. Activités sur site très classiques (canoë, ballades de quelques kilomètres, tennis etc) on est en fait assez proche d’un center parcs donc rien de vraiment typique. Et pas grand chose à faire autour sans devoir faire une heure de voiture. Restaurant à éviter absolument. En conclusion c’est peut être bien pour des gens de la région qui ont envie de faire une coupure en week-end, mais ne vaut pas le détour pour des touristes ! On ne conseille donc pas. Il y a sans doute mieux ailleurs dans les environs de St Matthieu du parc.
