Appalled at the cleanliness in room 133 - carpets heavily stained, covered in dust, hair & fluff. Stains up the walls too. Fixings broken with holes in the headboard. Room smelled so strongly of smoke & damp it was overpowering. Bathroom walls stained & bath/shower area had black mould. Filthy chair - you wouldn't even sit on it in a pub. The bedside light switch was also faulty - I couldnt turn it off without having to move its position and press with everything i had. It had broken bits of plastic in the fitting. I reported the problems several times - but no manager gave me their name during my stay and I spoke to three. They said the hotel was fully booked and that they didn't handle complaints & I'd have to google it. Nobody apologised & they werent friendly. None of the issues were resolved during my 3 night stay. All my belongings smelled of smoke when I got home. It was the beginning of the half term holidays so I didn't have any choice but to sleep there. I stayed in room 133 which is opposite a nightclub that stays open until 3:30am on Fridays/Saturdays. Despite the 'soundproofing' I got barely any sleep those 2 nights. This wasn't just a bit of ”city centre noise” - it was full-on continuous, bass-thumping and people screaming and shouting outside the bedroom window below. I understand that's not part of the 'goodnight guarantee' but they really shouldn't use that room on a weekend. Complained via the website within 7 days after stay & still no response or acknowledgement of complaint. I've stayed in so many premier inns over the last decade or so: Wirral, Blackpool, Leeds Whitehall, Glasgow, Scarborough, Newcastle, Stirling - just to name a few - so I know what to expect. St. Albans was truly the worst.

We had high expectations after reading the website and based on the price. Overall we enjoyed the stay but it wasn’t quite 5*. The welcome at reception was efficient / lukewarm. There was also working going on in the lobby area. Our Chic room was on the first floor no mention of a lift or a help with the bags. The room itself was nice and the bed comfy, but the bathroom was pretty small for the price and perceived room standard. Our room was near the stairs and at the intersection of 2 corridors so a little noisy at times. My wife said the spa was wonderful. We ate in the bistro and thought the food was good an reasonably priced but the setting was quite functional. (Please invest in some vinegar!) Breakfast was fine but not special given the hotel. One or two areas are starting to look a bit tired. In general the staff were friendly and helpful. So in summary very nice but could do better. Would we stay again - probably, and it might help that our expectations will have been tempered.

We have just come back from a 2 night stay. We chose this hotel as its a 30 minute drive from Wembley and wasn't expensive like the other hotels. We arrived 2 hours early for check in however the gentleman at reception checked us in no problem and gave us access to our room. Our room was a good size with a double bed and additional pull out sofa bed. The room was very clean and tidy and had everything we needed for our stay such as an iron, kettle, hairdryer and towels. There was even a little sign in the bathroom letting us know if we had forgotten anything just let them know. Breakfast both days was lovely with plenty of choice. It did get busy towards the end but we were advised of this on check in. We didn't get back from Wembley till 3am this morning but after a quick email to reception at half 7, they sorted out late check out so we could have a bit more sleep before our 4.5 hour journey home. The staff here work so hard and it seemed to be the same 2 faces our entire 3 day stay. I honestly don't know how they do it and keep smiling. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We will definitely return.

Great hotel. Good location for where we wanted to visit. Left my watch in the room and was able to retrieve it from the cleaning staff a couple of days later. Would recommend to all

Really nice and clean. Great beds. Plenty of room. Good shower. Perfect location. Polite staff. Value for money. Close to Warner Brothers and shopping centre. We only stayed a night and hardly touched down but it was great. I will always wonder why every hotel puts out just two teabags though 🤣

I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Luton Airport and had a generally positive experience. The hotel’s location is incredibly convenient, especially for early morning flights, as it is just a short walk or shuttle ride from the terminal. Additionally, the staff were welcoming and efficient, making check-in and check-out smooth and assisting with any queries. The on-site restaurant offers a decent variety of meals, and the breakfast buffet was plentiful with a good range of options. Room service was prompt, and the food quality was satisfactory. The hotel also provides good amenities, including a fitness centre, free Wi-Fi, and business services, with ample parking for those driving in. However, being close to the airport does bring some inevitable noise from the planes. While the windows are soundproofed, light sleepers might still notice it. While the convenience is a huge plus, the rates can be on the higher side compared to other nearby accommodations, so it's worth booking in advance to secure a better deal. The immediate area around the hotel is quite utilitarian, with few attractions or dining options outside the hotel itself. Nevertheless, the Holiday Inn Luton Airport is a solid choice for those prioritising convenience and comfort before or after a flight. The staff’s hospitality and the hotel’s amenities make it a pleasant stay despite some minor drawbacks.

Conveniently located outside terminal 5 and connected with the Heathrow Pods. Bed is super comfy in an otherwise basic room facing the car park. Staff was indifferent - guess they wouldn’t invest so much in us transient guest. A decent hotel overall for the price paid.
