We stayed at Koh Mueangkarn Paradise View Resort for one night. The raft hotel experience is quite common in this area. The property is a little run down. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was extremely small and walls seemed paper thin. There is no kettle in the room. There is a minibar. The shower is part of the toilette space. Dinner was good and the evening ambience on the raft dining are was really nice. Breakfast was ok. Next time I would look for a separate (larger) raft bungalow. (Not one where all rooms are connected)

Yes the place is quaint but I don't know if it's due to COVID but the service isn't great and as you're away from it all you don't have a choice. We rarely had a smile, we were told a Thai buffet, finally you are served a fixed menu. We are served water without a glass, beer without a glass, soup without a bowl… Then each time we had to explain what we needed, it was complicated (language problem). At the end of the meal we asked for coffee and the answer was negative mentioning that the kettle was for breakfast! However, an employee helped herself just before leaving her service. Breakfast: very light. We left a little disappointed because the place promised to be so good…
