Unser Appartement aus zwei Zimmern lag auf zwei Etagen im Nebengebäude und war sehr ruhig. Die Bahn haben wir kaum gehört. Der Empfang war sehr freundlich. Umgebung ansprechend bepflanzt. Frühstück reichlich und vielseitig, nur Cappuccino habe ich vermisst. Es gab Tee oder Filterkaffee. Wir haben auch zweimal im zugehörigen Restaurant zu Abend gegessen und waren sehr zufrieden, es hat allen gut geschmeckt. Bedienung war freundlich und prompt. Einzig die Matratzen waren für uns etwas hart, unbequem. Der Teppich ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen und die Vorhänge haben nachts nicht genug verdunkelt (zum Innenhof hat es grosse Fenster und die Beleuchtung brannte durchgehend) Aber insgesamt hat es uns gefallen. Die Lage war dank Fähre und S-Bahn günstig für Wanderungen und Ausflüge. Dazu haben wir das Auto nicht benötigt, denn mit Gästekarte ist der öffentliche Verkehr im Gebiet gratis.

We, my wife and another friendly couple, were guests at the Parkhotel in mid-September 2021 for a week. Super breakfast buffet, a quite infinite and very tasteful selection of the buffet for the evening at which everyone finds something. Very good wine, tasty mineral water, interesting and good drinks, as well as very attentive restaurant and hotel forces. The rooms are comfortable, very quiet at closed windows, the location on a main street has made it necessary for me to close the windows at night (light sleep). The hotel itself is very quiet. In the room we found a corner that was dustful, only in the room. Therefore a point deduction. A short and regular wiping with the Plumeau would be great. Many excursions are possible from New Town in all directions and also well reachable. We have felt very, very well. For 3 stars Superior perfectly appropriate and in any case recommend without limitation. Thank you for your hospitality. We are happy to come back.

We had a superior room on the riverside. It was disappointingly small as the website photos show a much larger room. It was probably just the 26 square metres cited, if you include the bathroom. That said the hotel is very comfortable. Breakfast was very good, and the 3 course evening meal which had plenty of choice was good value. The indoor pool was a good size, and never busy. The staff were very professional. It’s in the centre of Bad Schandau and on check in you receive a free pass for buses, river ferries and Sbahn trains for the duration of your stay. Arrival by public transport is good. The river ferry for the station stops at Elbkai on the riverside of the hotel and the bus station is also just a couple of minutes away.
