Very poor and unfriendly service. First impressions of the room were good, but the bottom sheet on the bed was too small and couldn’t be tucked in to hold it in place and the duvet likewise was too small for the bed. Only a few of the rooms had air conditioning. A group of use decided to eat in the restaurant on our first night, which was a big mistake. They were incapable of splitting a bill and so we had to order individually, which took an age. We ordered a bottle of wine which was placed on the table, unopened and without glasses - as this was a colleagues job to do which took an hour for the said colleague to arrive. The food arrived: tasteless humus, a slab of polenta that resembled a block of butter and pasta which had been over cooked. They seemed irritated when we asked for some cutlery. And when someone asked for tomato ketchup ,as an afterthought further irritation was caused as this should have been ordered at the beginning! One member of the group didn’t get their main course and when pointed out to the waitress they said “I forgot” and when asked if they could get him something the answer was “ no the chef has gone home” - I use the title “chef” loosely. Breakfast was not any better. Coffee was self service and the chap who’d not eaten the night before asked for a coffee cup from the pile in the kitchen, as the ones next to the machine had been used. The staff member looked at his watch and as it was 2 minutes past 10 told him they were now closed! Health and safety: slippery floors outside the pool changing rooms, children’s play area built on bricks and a bear wandering around the grounds at night. Disabled access is poor. I was under the impression that the EU would have rules about this and H&S. Overall not recommended due to extremely poor service and lack of interest in their paying guests.
