Check in and check out process is not secure. The rooms do not have a keyless entry. This an unstaffed property so I would have expected something more secure. I've brought this to the attention of the proprietor and have yet to receive a reply to my feedback.

Rye Motor Inn is a true gem! It's an adult only, quiet, 50's style motel with every detail covered for a very pleasant stay. I stayed 3 nights but wish I'd stayed longer!! Room was immaculate and comfortable with a kitchenette well stocked with snacks, wine, etc at reasonable prices. It is adults only, which means that me, as a 68 year old solo traveler did not have to put up with the noise and confusion of nearby children. It was totally relaxing from the time I arrived. Doug and Jack the owners could have not been more accommodating! It is along a quiet stretch of ocean road with beautiful views. There is a coastal park just down the road and the sights and attractions of Portsmouth just a pleasant 8 minute drive. Will definitely go back, even off season, just for a relaxing escape. There was absolutely no negative aspect to my stay!

This excellent motel is located on the coast in Rye, NH. It is extremely comfortable, clean and friendly. I just happened to stop and was extremely pleased with the motel. I was able to sit outside my room and listen to the surf which for me made the whole trip. They provided snacks and beverages in the rooms for a nominal charge. The bed was extremely comfortable. All in all I was very pleased and definitely would stay there again.

My girlfriend and I will definitely come back. We went for an overnight and didn’t want to leave. What a unique experience!! The place is clean, decor is vintage surf. Very Friendly staff. The pool is amazing! Defiantly take advantage of the floats.

This is a fun, retro, motor Inn , fully remodeled and is as cute as a button! Across the street from the beach in a great location! The bed is comfortable,the kitchen has everything you need! The room is spacious! It’s adorable! When visiting family this is my go-to spot! Loved it!

We originally were supposed to stay at the Ramada by Wyndham in Kittery (was a dump) so it was suggested to come to the Rye Motor Inn. We are so happy we did. We had Apt #2 and it was absolutely beautiful. I've never seen a place so clean and peaceful. We only stayed overnight but we will surely come back for a longer stay. Do yourself a favor and stay here - was only about 15 mins away from Kittery and well worth the trip. Thank you to Abby!!
