Spring Hill Hotel Ruteng

Rooms were clean and functional with toiletries, good showers and comfortable beds. Breakfast was very good and staff were friendly and helpful. There was no sound proofing at all though. We had to move as first room backed on to the road where there was a constant queue of lorries trying to go to get into the nearby fuel station. Even when we moved we could hear conversations in the adjoining rooms. Gardens might be nice but there is a lot of building work going on so all a bit of a mess. The restaurant for the evening was poor. It was like a cheap American diner with bright fluorescent lighting, no atmosphere and terrible food. Would definitely eat out if staying here.

Hotel situated in a nice pleasant compound near centre of Ruteung. Check in smooth and room ready on arrival. Rooms comfortable and clean. All the basic essentials provided. Only suggestion is to add mosquito screens to at least several windows in each room so guests can make the most of the cool breezes and low overnight temperatures. Too many mosquitos to leave windows open at night otherwise even though the compound is fogged fortnightly. Restaurant was excellent and food and service good. Would stay here again.

We got worried as we drove through an industrial estate to get here but the hotel offered clean comfortable rooms arranged around an artificial lake. The food was excellent and very good value. It's not a pretty hotel but it is very functional and exceeded our expectations.

Interesting hotel - a bit of an oasis. Hotel grounds are nice. Staff very friendly. Check room selection as woken at 4am by cockerel - no chance of sleep once it started. Breakfast was fine - small buffet. Not sure if restaurant is part of the hotel but felt quite ‘canteen like’ though staff very friendly.

We stayed here for a night during our travels through Flores. The gardens are lovely with massive fish ponds. Our room was basic but very clean however had very little lighting so you could not read in the evening. The bed was very comfortable. We had a meal in the restaurant in the evening and the food was fantastic. It’s a very popular restaurant with locals as well. Unfortunately couldn’t say the same for breakfast next morning very very limited choice. If you are in the area I would recommend this hotel .

Beautiful gardens and rooms. Lovely and helpful staff. Bathrooms were great, good water pressure!!! Kids loved fish pond. We had one deluxe suite and one triple suite for 2 adults and three kids. We felt comfortable with our teen and tween kids across the courtyard from us however would have been preferable to have them next door.
