While the scenery was beautiful, the Lodge was recommended by the Alpstein Clinic. When people go to the clinic, they don’t feel well. I was there with my daughter, who didn’t feel well. The Lodge has NO. room service! So tell e how people who are I’ll supposed to eat?

Everything ok, except the breakfast. It's very simple and kept to the basics. That wouldn't be a problem. But it was far too less for the amount of people. I had to call the reception to bring more orange jus, some minutes later the bread was gone. And it always took 5 to 10 minutes until new products were delivered. At 8.30 a.m. when everyone wants to eat breakfast, thats too long. However, room, parking and location were great for the price.

Very practical hotel, the family room I stayed at was spacious and comfortable. The banio was visible from the room which is not convenient. The lobby is well equipped with kitchen kit and other useful stuff for picnics and kids toys. There is a washing machine at the basement that can be used at no extra cost. While the lodge is a minute away from the train station, Weissbad is a very small village, so you have to take the train or bus to Appenzell and other villages for food or shopping.

Die Lodge gehört zum Hotel Hof Weissbad. Sie befindet sich 2 Minuten zu Fuss auf der anderen Seite des Flusses. Unser Zimmer war sehr grosszügig; wenn auch rustikal. Für eine Nacht jedoch völlig ausreichend. Personen mit leichtem Schlaf sollten sicherlich die Fenster geschlossen halten oder nach einem Zimmer auf der anderen Seite fragen. Das Hotel selbst bietet ein kleines Frühstück an. Es besteht jedoch die Möglichkeit das Frühstück im Haupthaus einzunehmen. Selbst bei Regen ist dies mit den vorhandenen Schirmen trocken möglich. Etwas schade war, dass uns das Arrangement inklusive Benutzung des Pools im Haupthaus nicht angeboten wurde. Dies konnte jedoch vor Ort dazu gebucht werden. Zudem fehlte eine kleine Aufmerksamkeit zum 40. Hochzeitstag, welcher der Anlass für das Nachtessen und die Übernachtung waren. Hier hätte z.B. mit einer Dessertüberraschung zusätzliche Punkte gesammelt werden können.

Le prix payé directement à l'hôtel était nettement plus cher que celui sur Booking. C'est étrange si on sait que cette entreprise prélève environ 15% de frais. L'hôtel a donc doublement profité de mon séjour. La chambre a un charme de RDA des années 1970, avec plein de béton, une douche étrange avec un tapis en plastique encore plus étrange pour protéger le parquet. Il faut aimer le béton-rétro pas chic. Le petit-déjeuner, self-service sans personnel et sur les fauteils du lobby, étrange aussi. Nous n'avons pas réussi à nous habituer.

Ein tolles Zimmer mit Fenster zum Bach. Sehr ruhig (bis auf das Geplätscher des Bachs). Lustige Dusche, aber alles funktioniert einwandfrei. Wir besuchten das Frühstücksbuffet im Haupthaus, so haben wir keine Erfahrungen gemacht mit der Frühstückstasche. Die Benutzung des Spa-Bereichs ist super.

Sehr schönes Dachzimmer, sauber und ansprechend eingerichtet. Sehr nette, zuvorkommende Bedienung aus dem Hotel Hofweissbad, dessen Einrichtung man ebenfalls benutzen darf! Reichhaltiges Frühstück morgens um 7.15 h vor der Türe! Weshalb nicht 5 Punkte? Inneneinrichtung ist mehr auf Wirkung als Benutzerfreundlichkeit ausgerichtet! Digitale Fensterbedienung funktionierte nicht Licht kann nur sehr eingeschränkt bedient werden. Zum Beispiel kein Schalter im WC, muss vom Bett oder von der Türe bedient werden. Wieso Bad ein Fenster zum Fenster haben muss, entzieht sich meiner Erkenntnis. Auch ist der Lavabotisch zu tief! Grundsätzlich aber eine klare Empfehlung!
