Arcadia Lodge is a stunning property with amazing views and hosted by 2 guys, Greg and Peter, who just want you to have a fabulous time and will arrange any activity you want to do in the area. Peters breakfasts are to die for and we found lunch wasn’t needed! We stayed 5 nights and found plenty to do in the area. Arcadia Lodge was a great place to relax in the evening if we’d dined out. The house itself has an interesting history and full of character. It is beautifully appointed as was our room. A sundowner on the terrace ( or personal balcony) overlooking the lovely bay is the icing on the cake. We would definitely recommend it if you are in this part of NZ.

Peter and Gregory are fantastic hosts, we felt welcomed and well taken care of. The Lodge is quaint and beautiful with incredible views and an amazing garden. Breakfast was a highlight every morning. I would leave a 5 star review except the mattress could use an upgrade!

Everything was perfect. The food was sublime, the local knowledge on the history of Arcadia Lodge, Russell and it's surroundings was outstanding. We went with our daughter and partner and they absolutely loved Arcadia Lodge and everything that Peter and Greg add to an outstanding 2 nights of stay. We highly recommend going here for a faultless and memorable treat.

The easiest 5 stars given. We received a warm welcome from Greg who showed us to our delightful room after giving us good information on the area and restaurants. We had an early start on our first morning and Peter provided us with a delicious breakfast on the go which we ate on the ferry. When not rushing out the breakfast provided on the veranda overlooking the local boat club was first class. Good selection of fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal followed by a hot savoury course and then pastry, toast and preserves , all made by Peter. I only wished we stayed longer to enjoy more of the delicious food. Happy to recommend this excellent establishment with the nicest and kind hosts.

Just perfect, an oasis. Every little detail thought through. The most amazing breakfasts each morning with fantastic attention to detail. True gourmet food utilising home grown produce. Peter and Greg made the stay easy, nothing was a problem.

We had an amazing stay. Peter and Greg are wonderfull hosts. They make you feel at home right away. We stayed at the lodge which was great. Lots of space and the equipment was great. We lived the deck with the great view. We have wonderfull memories at the breakfast. We were there for four nights and every morning we were surprised by the extremely tastfull breakfast.

What a nice place and very welcome hosts. We felt home away from home, the house is very cozy and very well fitted. Loved the history and detailed explanation getting around and not forget the good recommendations for local restaurants. Very good breakfast and access to the local fridge. We loved our stay at the beautiful Arcadia Lodge. Greg and Peter are wonderful hosts and made us feel very welcome. They were incredibly helpful in sharing top tips for restaurants and activities in the area in advance of our stay, as well as when we were on the ground. We highly recommend staying at this beautiful and characterful property. The breakfasts are delicious!
