The overall is great, the restaurant is diverse and rich, clean, hygienic and delicious All waiters are polite It's just that you will still hear the sound of horns outside all night and you will be easily woken up

I recently completed a two-week visit to Bangladesh and stayed at three different hotels. I will not only review them in detail but give an overview of my experience of budget hotels in Bangladesh as a tourist. Most of my thoughts, comments, and opinions on all three of these properties are the same so there will be some copying and pasting in these reviews. Tourists wishing to arrive in Bangladesh and receive a visa on arrival (VOA) are advised to have hotel bookings and Proof of Onward Travel (POOT). I made both hard and digital copies of all my bookings and they were checked at both the airline check-in counter and immigration in Dhaka. However, no one was interested in more than a few days of hotel bookings and I only presented hotel reservations for the first four nights. This is important for those of us who are plan-as-you-go travelers and don’t like to make bookings ahead of time. In the future, I will only book the first few nights and see how that goes. I ended up canceling several reservations (bookings) I made through Agoda because I changed my plans, and now, I have no doubt you can get a better price by simply walking in. On with the review of the hotel Pragati Inn: This hotel is close to the airport and was recommended by a friend. Unfortunately, my room was extremely noisy because of the local road traffic. It is also a bit too far from Old Dhaka if you intend on exploring the most interesting parts of the city. This is a typical Asian-style budget hotel: a bit dated and could use some maintenance and a coat of paint. Having said that, the room and bathroom were surprisingly clean, and the air-conditioning and hot water were excellent. A complimentary breakfast was included in the price, but I did not try it. The wi-fi was so-so, in all three hotels I stayed at. I thought that the price I paid through Agoda ($45.75 USD) was a bit high for what I got. The owner of the hotel confirmed that if I were to book directly with the hotel, I could get a room for roughly half the price. I would only return here if I needed to be close to the airport.

The following are real pictures and videos I took when I checked into a hotel in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and the room I stayed in that day. Hotel location: Dhaka traffic is relatively congested. Hotel facilities: Take a look at the pictures for yourself, they were taken on the day of check-in. Looking at the pictures of bedding and linens, the bed is quite comfortable. Disposable slippers are provided, as well as toothpaste and toothbrushes. Hotel decoration: see pictures for yourself. Bathroom: Dry and wet are separated. Breakfast: Look at the pictures for yourself. Hotel service staff: Personally I think they are very service-minded and quite careless during the stay.

Loved this hotel. Rooms were kept clean, beds were comfy and staff were very helpful. The hotel has a great pool area, stunning view from the gym and a sauna. Didn’t make use of the spa facilities and didn’t eat in the hotel much (1 breakfast and 1 lunch).

First all of food was very amazing service is outstanding. Hotel environment wonderful place with a great location, many café s nearby. Wouldn't mind coming back again as everyone was hospitable. My night at Hotel Afford-Inn was a pleasant surprise, blending comfort and affordability. A warm welcome with a juice at reception and helpful staff easing my luggage set a positive tone. The room, spacious and tidy with a cozy bed, i slept like a baby, maybe I was also exhausted from my long flights. Its proximity to the airport, just 2km away, was great, with quick and budget-friendly Uber rides at $3 to drop me off at the hotel and I paid arround $2 to Uber three wheels vehicle/TomTom to drop me off at the airport the next morning   The breakfast was modest. Street noise, inevitable in Dhaka, was a minor hiccup. Having tried pricier options with little difference and budget stays sacrificing comfort, Hotel Afford-Inn struck the right balance for me. For a low-budget, without compromising comfort, I'd recommend Hotel Afford-Inn and plan to return myself.

My wife and I greatly enjoyed our time there. The staff in the restaurant and the front desk were all very helpful. If I am in Dhaka again I would highly consider staying again. I hope you enjoy your potential stay there too.

It was a good stay in the city center. Apart from the traffic jam, everything else was pretty good. The location was easy to find. The service attitude was very good. Breakfast was good. Cleanliness was also good. The floor could be cleaned every day. Health: good
