Obv out of season but got upgraded on arrival to lodge Ash 27. Beautiful, warm 2 bed lodge with secret garden, bar area, day bed, 65” tv and hot tub all under cover and private! Staff were friendly and maintenance seemed good. Kitchenette small but had everything you need. Few things needed minor repair but nothing a bit of flexibility could not fix. We loved this site and had good look at the various types of lodges, pods and cabins. Some very old basic fisherman lodges, but new cabins and nature ones which looked gorgeous. Our hot tub was clean and 39/40 degrees, WiFi was great and free, parking brilliant and Jacks Restaurant on site is a real winner!! Would prob not want to go in summer as no aircon or opening windows and as previously seen on reviews mattress situation not good, but for us this was gorgeous, peaceful, warm and amazing value for what was paid.

I booked Woodlakes Park as a birthday surprise for my partner, and we were definitely pleased with our experience. We stayed in Lux Oasis 6, which included a hot tub and a dome with a bed outside, unfortunately half of the dome lights were broken and no heater inside but this did not affect the enjoyment of our stay, it was just a shame. The lodge itself is lovely, a fully equip kitchen, sofa bed, big tv and nice shower. The only downside of the lodge was that the beds are extremely uncomfortable and full of springs, this did affect our sleep for the 2 nights we stayed, so I recommend potentially bringing a mattress protector, but everything else within the lodge itself was up to nice. The hot tub was incredible. As a heads up for any one who wants to book the fishing, I myself have never been fishing before so should of researched whats needed, however I paid for 2 tickets for the fishing and unfortunately did not have any equipment prior, so my hope was to rent some of this out at the lodge last minute, however upon arrival we were advised that this is purchase only. The lovely lady at reception advised they can swap this cost for a late checkout and to enquire with Livre for a refund - Livre unfortunately declined this and told us this requires 7 days notice, so it was a shame as this was £40 in total. We ate out at Pan Asia and Woodlakes kitchen and bar for dinner on night 1 and 2, both restaurant's were outstanding and 5* for the food. The staff at both restaurant's were very welcoming and quick service. Overall I would definitely return, having walked around the park for a nosey around the different types of cabins, I would definitely stay in a different cabin due to the variety that's offered here.

We stayed in Cosy Larch 9 at Woodlakes in February half term. The accommodation was clean, cosy and a good spec. There was an electric fire and we walked in to the smell of a wooden cabin! Our only complaints would be the TV wasn't a smart TV (and only held on by balancing on 2 screws), even the freeview signal kept cutting out and we couldn't get any WiFi or signal. These didn't really bother us though. We had an issue with the hot tub one day (which turned out it wasn't their fault, we had accidently pressed the wrong button). I called reception and someone was round and had sorted it within 10 minutes. All of the staff we came into contact with were helpful and friendly. There were some nice walks and we had a great time. There isn't much to do with children, so we can't say we'd go back here with our little ones, but it was perfect as a couples getaway. We were dubious because of the reviews we had read, but we couldn't fault it and will 100% go back at some point!

Lovely place for a chill for a couple of days. Really enjoy just walking around the lakes & relaxing. The hot tub was lovely as was the view over the lake. The Cedar chalet was in need of some tlc, damaged, dirty blinds, the light covers were missing & the curtain hook was broken, the road is also noisy & the bed was uncomfortable. It served its purpose but having stayed in a lux last time we came I wouldn’t stay in the chalet again. Love the Thai restaurant and the food is lovely

Overall cabin looked okay, we stayed in Acorn 8. Nice large garden area with hot tub and fire pit, few tea, coffee, sugar, milk sachets on the table. No radiators apart from 2 tiny portable ones!!! We had NO HOT WATER, we couldn’t get through on the out of hours phone number and when we finally did 9.10 am it then took maintenance until lunchtime on the second day we were their to come have a look, he managed to get it fixed and stayed on for half an hour then went off again. Reported it again and no one came. When we looked closer at the fittings and fixtures it was awful. Taps were hanging on for dear life, sink you could lift straight out of the worktop, dirty taps and toilet, headboard on double bed was broken and mattress was as hard as bricks with springs felt wherever you laid. Bunk beds were the same felt every spring and the bottom piece of wood to keep mattress in was hanging on and you could pull it off. Also cobwebs everywhere and dirty rug in lounge area!! We visited the ‘petting farm’ it consisted of a few alpacas, some goats and birds. The enchanted forest was still undergoing maintenance and all the huts are wired up ready for having heaters but no heaters just loose wires! Jacks and Pan Asia were CLOSED!!!! Only place open was woodland bar and restaurant but doesn’t allow dogs so we sat outside in 0 degrees to have a quick drink because huts didn’t have heaters in yet. No park for children despite being child friendly and shop doesn’t have a lot in and shuts early.

Beautiful lodge, lovely jacuzzi, beds really comfy, staff really helpful and restaurants on site reasonable. Could do with a little convince shop and a map for the park but honestly can't wait to go bk. Wished all places where like this one.

Myself and my partner went here for a lovely break away. The little cabin we stayed in was lovely and cozy- definately a plus with the hot tub. The site itself with the forest and animals is lovely- it was nice to walk around and is a nice walk on the evenings when the lights are up. We visited Pan Asia when we were there and the food was to die for and the Jack restaurant was lovely for breakfast- both of which had amazing service. We'd love to go back again at some point, potentially with the children.

Stayed at this site near Christmas. The lodge was spacious and clean and the hot tub was a good size. Our lodge was on the lakeside as well so the views were great. That along with the Thai restaraunt it was one of the best sites we had stayed at. We will definitely go back.
