Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place as it cannot be trusted. I left an expensive bag in the room containing perfume and other personal items, and despite being 100% certain it was there, the staff claim they don’t have it. Their lack of accountability completely ruined the trip. Extremely disappointing experience.

Booked a 2 night break just after new year in the executive lodge thinking it would be a nice little break. Lodge definitely needs some tlc the floor was damaged, bathrooms were very basic and dirty, broken and dirty furniture throughout. Dome was covered in bird mess.Floor damaged all throughout. Broken plug sockets. Firstly we arrive at 4.30 for check in and our hot tub wasn’t ready, a worker told us the water was dirty and needed emptying and refilling. Then there was no hot water in the lodge so he had to heat it up manually so it wasn’t ready till gone 8 at night.. we had no hot water till late the first night as the boiler had been off. Also on the first night we had a power cut so we were sitting in the dark with phone torches for about an hour while the park workers sorted it. Jacks resultants was closed the whole time we stayed (fully unaware) the other restaurant was shut all day when it said it was open and the healthy restaurant advertised online wasn’t even there anymore. There were no lights on for the woodland walk in the evening (as advertised online) so we couldn’t do that either. On our 2nd night jacks restaurants had a private party where there was extremely loud music, shouting etc till around 12.30 at night keeping me and my children up. I tried to call the emergency out of hours number while this was happening around 11.30 but it wasn’t in service. After we left I sent an email complaint which I had to chase up a response. I had to wait 2 weeks (I had to ask for a reply again) for them to offer me a % off a next stay. I then called the park direct where I spoke to the park manager who was very rude from the start basically accusing me of lying about the state of the lodge and just not being helpful at all… I said I don’t see why I’m having to chase responses from people so she asked for my number and put the phone down on me (extremely unprofessional and didn’t hear back from her). I have since had to call customer service (promised call backs 2 times and didn’t get it) emailed again to a response from them saying I’m being rude and aggressive (laughable) and they won’t offer me anything else. Customer service is shocking.

On arrival the receptionist was very welcoming, she was talking to us and explaining where our lodge was when she was rudely intrupted by a woman who i assume was to do with the cleaning. She chucked keys in front of her and spoke to the receptionist terrible. The receptionist kept saying I'm so sorry and even when we checked out she kept apologies for it. Other then that the place is amazing , very clean and peaceful and beautiful just ashame about staff that are rude

Terrible company!!! My son booked a two night stay for his girlfriends Christmas present. The main reason for booking this lodge was that it wasn't too far away and also had a hot tub which is what he was looking for. On arrival they realised that the hot tub was not working and reported it to reception. They said they will send someone to fix it but in the two nights they were there no one turned up. My son emailed the company (Liv Retreats) to let them know what happened and to see if they might give him a part refund but they ignored his email so I telephoned them and still after promising to contact him they have not. I rang them for the second time and they promised to email him and again have not. So it looks like their policy is if a customer complains ignore them.

Arrived an hour earlier and was told our lodge was ready, which was a bonus!! There was miscommunication regarding the hot tub, but was soon rectified. Lodge was cosy until we went to bed. The mattress was terrible, u could feel every spring!! My husband went to the office and given a single quilt for us to be put on top. We had to flip the mattress, which was a little better. We came for new year and was really looking forward to walks around the enchanted forest, but wasn't open!! We visited Jacks restaurant for a drink. Found the young lad very rude!! Wouldn't even look at us when we were ordering and looked over us when he spoke to us. We booked a meal at pan asia which was OK and was told it shut at 9! When I rang to book it the lady told me they would be having a dj on for new years eve, which we were looking forward to!! Electric went off for around 45 mins, no one came to tell us what was going on, we just had to sit in darkness until it came back on. I definitely won't be returning. It was so disappointing and definitely not worth the £700 we paid It could be a lovely site!!

The location was lovely and although our Lodge was tiny it had everything we needed. Hot tub had already been turned on so was lovely and warm. The evening went good until it was time for bed. The pillows were awful, all lumpy and very flat. The mattress was terrible, every movement you could hear the springs moving and dug into you. The next morning I woke up and had severe back pain. We went to the office to see if there was anything that could be done with regards to the mattress and was told no. Only thing the staff could offer was a couple of spare quilts to put down first and to leave a review. They said they were in process of management change. Nothing was open, no activities. I know it was December but then the activities shouldn't have been advertised. Jack's and pan asia were also closed meaning you had no choice but to drive and eat out. The next day the bruising started to appear on my back. Wouldn't return.

We had a lovely 3 night stay! We stayed in the sky lux 8, and it was beautiful, we took our dogs, and were eased with how it was secure so the couldn't run off. We did have a slight issue when we first got there as there was no gas but we went straight to reception to report this and it was dealt with very quickly, in fact the maintenance guy got there before I had chance to get back myself, also quickly dealt with one off the panels in the garden that was slightly broken, so my escape artist couldn't get through. The walk through the enchanted forest is lovely and pleasant, Absolutely fell in love with the alpacas and emu they have there. The accommodation was clean and fresh, only thing I was a little disappointed with there was no oven. But there was a microwave with could have been a microwave oven, but with no manual we wasn't sure how to use it properly, and with having an autistic child with us wasn't happy he couldn't have his nuggets, but was soon cheered up when we got him a take away pizza from jacks, it was according to my son the best pizza he's ever had. I would highly recommend jacks it's lovely, we called up for the takeaway and he said we would be waiting a long time as they were super busy, but he sorted us out quickly and had our food ready for collection in maybe 20mins. Beds were very comfy too. All in all a lovely little getaway and would absolutely be coming back in the future.

Booked for two nights as a pre xmas and cancer respite. Acorn 2. Previous review slamming it down bear nothing to what we found. Wooden inside, wonderful. Heating can be made too hot so no issues there. Easy to set temperature to comfortable. Shower room really nice for size of the pod. Enclosed part is small but totally private. Hot tub absolutely steaming. Used it about six times in all. Wonderful!. Down side. Restaurants are only two and shut on Mondays and Tuesdays. Used the thai(converted double decker bus) superb food , pricey but worth it!. The pod door was awful to lock and open.. needs realigning. It worked but as wooden etc in a wooden pod it has warped slightly. The pod was immaculate!. Reception lovely and rang us on the day prior to travelling. This is not a hotel or a bnb.. its glamping. That's the way to describe it. For us. Wonderful
