掛牌四星酒店。酒店位置好，對面是購物中心、超市，隔壁是縣博物館。停車場大，住店憑房卡、離店憑停車票均免費。
客房分為迎賓樓和貴賓樓。按介紹有室內游泳館和温泉。房間寬敞，衞浴乾濕分離，熱水量大，沖澡舒服。床鋪舒適。沒有保險櫃。不足之處一是前台不會主動招呼客人，面無表情。二是早餐餐廳及餐食均與掛牌四星酒店差距甚遠。剛一進餐廳，以為走進了員工餐廳，全然沒有一點星級酒店的樣子，餐食擺台也是隨隨便便，還不如一般的連鎖酒店。如果按一般的酒店要求，飯菜也算是不錯，但對於一個高星級酒店來説就差的太多了。沒有鮮奶、咖啡、麪包、甜點……，也沒有現場烹調。餐桌上的餐巾紙架是用鐵皮做的，空空如也 ，幾個服務員旁若無人的大聲聊天。芮城大酒店是這次到山西住的最貴的一個酒店，也是感覺最差的一個酒店。也不知這四星是如何評上的。
