Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge

My family and I went to Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge for a small staycation, and we couldn’t have been happier. We had been there before and were pleased to see that not only had they renovated, but their impeccable customer care and excellent service remained a staple. Given how cold Kinigi gets at night, the staff ensured that our fireplace was stocked and that we had heaters in our beds. The food was buffet-style with multiple delicious options. Additionally, Le Bambou is just a 3-minute drive from the Dian Fossey Museum, which was convenient for us as we had never been there before. I would recommend Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge anytime, given their commitment to elevating guests' comfort.

Bambou Gorilla Lodge is well located, close to Kinigi, the Dian Fossey Campus and the Volcano Parc. Our accommodation with Bath room was a quiet hut in the Bambou garden. Special service was a fire in the fire place and hot water bottles in the bed. for nighttime. The garden was nice. The Lodge is being renovated, there was some construction work going in but not disturbing the relaxing atmosphere. The service was very friendly, every team member did best to provide good service: cleaning shoes, offering coffee and ginger tea (excellent!), caring for fire in the fire places which felt like living rooms. The food was very good and there were local dishes on the buffet. We had a very pleasant stay.

Breakfast was cooked to order and served in the restaurant room, ensuring fresh and delicious meals each morning. Dinner was also served in the restaurant room, with a set menu offering a variety of outstanding dishes. The cuisine was truly exceptional, thanks to the chef's remarkable skills. Facilities and Services The lodge's central garden is beautifully maintained, offering a peaceful spot to unwind. The lounge, with its welcoming fireplace, became our favorite place to relax. The fireplace was lit whenever we wanted, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. WiFi was available in the restaurant room, lounge, and reception, which was adequate for our needs. Staff and Service The staff at Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge were incredibly welcoming and professional, always eager to assist with any request. Their attentiveness and dedication to guest comfort were evident throughout our stay. One notable service was the evening standdown, where we could choose between having the fireplace lit in our room or using an electric heater. Additionally, the staff placed hot water bottles in our beds, adding an extra layer of comfort on cooler nights.
